If I'm Team Trump, I am looking at those election results in the traditionally whiter and Conservative midterms with great concern. The three midwestern states that handed Trump the election (PA, WI, MI) went right back to voting Blue now that Clinton was off the ticket. Trump doesn't have Clinton to run against in 2020, and will likely not be able to stop the wave of voters showing up to vote against him.

PA, MI, and WI returning to form for the Democrats has pretty much taken those states off the table for Trump. MN is in play for him, but that's the only blue state moving to toss-up. Far more red states have entered toss-up now; Texas, Arizona, and Georgia.

States that have probably moved to Blue so much they're unwinnable for Trump in 2020: Virginia, Colorado, Nevada, and New Hampshire.

So for 2020, the battleground will be: AZ, GA, TX, NC, MN, OH

2020 states Trump can kiss goodbye: PA, MI, WI, NH, VA, NV, CO

The map is shrinking.

Thanks.. Too many people just don't like Trump including the people who work in the WH.

I could be mistaken, but that type thinking got Hillary in trouble. Didn't she suddenly switch resources to Georgia and Texas, thinking she could flip them, and even as Trump noted, ignored the Rust Belt States she barely lost thinking it was the Blue wall?

The Democrat's base isn't as frozen as Trump's, they could lose enthusiasm and votes even in blue areas depending on the candidate. Measuring Congressional races, which is basically the popular vote, can give one false hopes, as we know from 2016

Aren't you lefties the ones that predicted Hillary would win in a landslide?

Hate to break it to you but in the first midterm under Obama, he lost over twice the number of seats in the House as Trump and gained in the Senate. What that means is when Ginsburg keels over, and it won't be long based on her feeble condition, that will make #3 for Trump.

Don't you think it depends on the candidate? Who is in the Democrats stable?

The military has shifted against Trump since his insults against John McCain and the Blue Star families... and he didn't help himself blaming the Secret Service for his failure to attend the ceremony in France.

Amazing how one has to cover the same realities with conservatives

Few if any had Hillary at a landslide as the election grew closer, especially after the Comey bombshell

Obama did lose more, however, Democrats those years were running during the dire economic conditions they inherited, the Republicans this year were campaigning with a good economy, and still lost substantial seats. In the Senate, it looks like they will gain three seats, which given the Democrats were defending Twenty four to their nine including several in ruby red States isn't such an accomplishment

Which means you don't "have to break" anything, the opposite is in fact true, Trump told you a lie on that one, shocking, and don't wait on Ginsburg, if anything she has proven to be resilient

That's the excuse by those of you that can't accept she got her political ass kicked.

Always making excuses for the incompetent black boy, huh? Do you ever get tired of kissing his black ass?

Sure, the candidate is going to be huge, and right now the Democrats have over a dozen.

However that could also be a problem, with the number of candidates winning this time with further left platforms, that wing of the party will become more influential and could pull the party to the left, turning off the more moderate rust belt Democrats. And bringing the Party back to the middle for the general election will annoy the constituency that just elected those candidates

Not an "excuse," just the facts, proven accurate in your inability to discredit them. The stupid deflection only further validated it

Don't you think Trump's base is shrinking? Even the guys who work with him in the WH think he's a liar and a bully.

The facts are the lefties were predicting a Hillary landslide right up to the election. That you say they didn't could mean lots of things. Perhaps you're embarrassed it happened.

Pucker up, nigger lover.

No. And she did win the popular vote by 3,000,000 which is a larger margin of victory than any Republican has had since Bush the Elder's run 30 years ago.

Well, in 2010, the maps weren't gerrymandered so as to preserve a Republican majority. The popular vote margin in 2018 was the same as it was in 2010.

Trump gained seats in red states he easily won...he lost Senate and/or governor races in states he needs to win in 2020; Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. Florida and Georgia being too-close-to-call is also bad news for Trump; particularly Georgia.

What that means is when Ginsburg keels over, and it won't be long based on her feeble condition, that will make #3 for Drumpf.

RBG will probably stick it out as long as she can.

turning off the more moderate rust belt Democrats.

These people don't exist.

They are a media fabrication to try and shift the Overton window rightward.

The Dems that won in the Midwest were all unabashed progressives. Baldwin, Brown, Stabenow, Casey, Klobuchar, and Smith are all liberals. Definitely not moderates.

When are you stupid pieces of shit going to realize you can't win something that isn't part of the process?

More excuses for why your BOY lost twice as many seats in 2010.

The Republican number in the Senate grew and that scares the shit out of you left wing pussies. When Ginsburg goes, and from the condition she's in it won't be long, Trump will get #3 and preserve the correct way to view the Constitution until your children's children are old and senile.

I see you enjoyed the massive Blue Wave lol

Every time you invoke the Electoral College, you're telling the world that you know you can't win a popular vote.

Maps weren't gerrymandered in 2010 as they were in 2018.

Popular vote margin was the same.

Not really. Cuz you won in Missouri and North Dakota. Two states Democrats don't really compete, and two states they don't need to win in 2020. The GOP lost in Arizona and Nevada, two states they do need in 2020 if they want any shot at winning.

AZ is gone forever now, like NV. The map continues to shrink.

You say that, but...RBG is still going strong. She doesn't get scared off by rain.
