I would posit that discrimination is a form of oppression.
"Racial oppression is characterized by the majority, or the ruling race, imposing its beliefs, values, and laws on the minority, or the ruled race."
I just don't think that the kind of discriminations against whites, which I agree do exist, fit the definition of racial oppression- My only reason for piping in is that I don't think you need to be married to the term "oppression" to make your point-which again, I agree is valid...
Further I submit that racial oppression has not existed against blacks since implementing anti discrimination policies, including affirmative action-This is not to say that discrimination does not take place, but to note that as a national policy one cannot be discriminated against based on race. After 40+ years it is likewise evident that not only is there no longer a need for affirmative action policy-but that it actually serves as a conduit for reverse discrimination.
