I'm reporting historic fact which is indisputable.
Are you suggesting the Vietnamese preferred a "warmongering" republican over a "kumbaya" socialist democrat?

I'm reporting historic fact which is indisputable.
Is it?
The out of power side has been whining since at least Carter or Nixon. Though the left got a little out of hand under Nixon. The right whined under Clinton but it was garden variety partisan whining. You'll probably say the Clinton impeachment was out of hand, but Clinton brought that on himself: all he had to do was not lie about having sex with an intern; people would have forgiven and even admired his honesty in some instances.
The whining from the right stepped up under Obama. But he came in inexperienced, with questionable associations and promised 'fundamental transformation'. In short order, he tried to foist cap and trade on us but it failed and led to Shellacking 1.0. Obama followed that fiasco with ramming Obamacare down our throats; arguably the most ill-conceived piece of legislation to come down the pike in the last century.
It was passed without anyone but Jonathan Gruber knowing what was in it; and to add insult to injury, it was kept afloat by a medium sized flotilla of lies. A few told by Obama himself.
That led to Shellacking 2.0.
See the trend?
Both sides whine when they're out of power. In a functioning democracy that's their job, in a sense. But the left has gone next-level under Trump.
Frankly, I'm embarrassed for them.
I know it's early, but here's my advice for the day lol. Might as well get it out since I'm on a roll. These people need to channel their energy constructively or they risk irrelevancy. It's like their clueless that people---including many of their fellow democrats are watching and they aren't liking what they're seeing.
You guys just went down in an historic upset where many democrats abandoned their party for the republican. And if a democrat leader doesn't step forward and get a handle on it---you're going to lose more of them. When that happens, your party will be reduced to disaffected radical cry babies.
And a decade in the Wilderness becomes a strong possibility.

Synonyms: certain, inescapable, inevitable, sure, unavoidable. The central meaning shared by these adjectives is "impossible to avoid or evade": certain death; an inescapable conclusion; an inevitable result; sudden but sure regret; an unavoidable accident. See also synonyms at sure.
Usage Note: Although certain appears to be an absolute term, it is frequently qualified by adverbs, as in fairly certain or quite certain. In an earlier survey, a majority of the Usage Panel accepted the construction Nothing could be more certain.

Well Trump was elected again tonight so that ruins one more attempt at a wet dream for democrats. Are they done or should we expect some more whining as they watch their freebies go out the window. I read somewhere that suicide rates are up among progressives, meaning we definitely have to re-elect the Donald to see if we can weaken them even more.![]()

Well why didn't you tell me before ?!"they live in a perpetual state of whine" HD
Trump?"Does anyone whine more than tweety? " T1
It wouldn't occur to me.
You lost me at "garden-variety" for Clinton.
Are you fucking kidding me? They had him killing Vince Foster. I remember a GOP Congressman was raising funds - successfully - for a "Counter-Clinton Library" in AK where they were going to have a "death wing," to chronicle the dozens of people who the Clintons had whacked.
That was psychotic, Darth. As was the birther movement and the constant, relentless effort to paint Obama as anything but American.
You are truly a delusional person. Don't worry about the Dems being in the wilderness. Worry about the loose cannon & baby you just elected.
It Is a Beautiful Day: The 2016 Election Ends!
We’re all settled then, right?
In all future elections, when the winning candidate is a Democratic candidate that Republicans intensely dislike and believe is unqualified, GOP voters can launch a public pressure campaign against members of the Electoral College not to vote for that candidate, right?
When a Republican loses in the Electoral College, we can write threatening letters to Democratic electors demanding they vote for the GOP candidate, right?
“Dear Electors, There will be no peace on earth unless you refuse the one accused of treason and vote for Hillary Clinton instead,” said a holiday letter sent to Oklahoma Republican elector Charles Potts, which he posted on his Facebook page over the weekend.
But Potts and most other electors have said for weeks that they plan to cast votes reflecting the will of their home states…
(Hey, pal, I don’t know if you noticed, but there wouldn’t be peace on earth if Hillary Clinton was elected either.)
Robert Asher, a Republican elector from Pennsylvania, said that Trump’s most ardent detractors will continue seeking ways to undermine him.
“If it’s not his business interests it’ll be whether he has his dog groomed on Fridays or Saturdays,” he said in a recent interview.
The election, Asher added, “is over. Donald Trump is president.
The same as when President Obama was elected, he was elected and whether we liked it or not; it was over.” Asher said he had received just a handful of messages from concerned voters.
“Ninety percent of it is anti-Trump and ‘Vote for Clinton,’” he said. “But look, she didn’t win Pennsylvania. If she had, I wouldn’t be going to Harrisburg on the 19th of December.
And I would honor what the people in this commonwealth want. They wanted Donald Trump, so that’s who I will support with my vote.”
Now all of a sudden, this traditional ceremony requires more security. When Pennsylvania’s 58th Electoral College meets Monday to cast votes for president, it will do so at a time when many more people are paying attention to the obscure process.
In a normal presidential election year, the ceremonies take place with little fanfare or public attention.
But this year, state officials are providing extra security and bracing for larger crowds and demonstrations after Republican Donald Trump won Pennsylvania, a key statewide victory in an election that saw him behind in the national popular vote but winning the projected electoral vote.
Are definitions of words supposed to be this malleable? If an elector chooses someone besides Hillary Clinton, they face the possibility of fines and the label of a faithless elector.
“I don’t care for the term faithless electors because I think how they decide is faith in itself, so there is no faithlessness to it,” Deirdra Hahn explained. islarger gatherin
An even g planned on the Capitol steps for Monday. Organizers are hoping for a large turnout at state capitols across the country. No, see, when you pledge, ‘I will do X,” and then turn around and say, ‘on second thought, now that it’s too late to replace me, I have decided I will not do X,’ then most people define that as being faithless, or a betrayal of other’s faith placed in you.

The Foster conspiracy was right-fringe and never embraced by the mainstream, Thing. No democrat leaders have come out and condemned the rioting, the asinine pointless recounts, the death threats directed at electors and the general throwing everything but the kitchen sink in attempting to overturn a *legitimate* election.
Republicans have NEVER done such a thing.
And if the party leaders don't condemn it, they apparently condone it. Your party is being damaged by these shenanigans and it's like you and your party mates are oblivious to it.
Keep it up, it's fine by me.

You don't live in a democracy. You live in a representative republic.
Ol' DocTARD chimes in on schedule with more crazy whiny shit... burp...
This explains his poor understanding of the American system of government.
You don't live in a democracy. You live in a representative republic.
I agree with you Yurt.Incredible double-standard.
