OK Master Gracie, so what's your advice when a reportedly armed suspect refuses to comply with the police's verbal instructions?

Do we ratchet up the level of physical force to "pretty please" and ultimately "pretty please with sugar on top"?

So he/she does not comply you simply have no other option but to shoot to kill, & that's why I love this country....


One should first have the body cam fall off

You know what a tazer is?? night stick?? pepper spray??, backup w/ a dog??

So your delicate sensibilities would have been less offended by the officers administering a wood shampoo to Mr. Sterling's cranium with their nightsticks than simply tackling him?

That's not how I remember public sentiment after Rodney King.

I'm not saying there are because there's no way to know. In the study I cited yesterday it was found that white cops had the lowest incidence of threat fail [where the threat is misinterpreted] in encounters with blacks.

My point is racism or racist motives on the part of cops should be the conclusion of last resort and only when all other factors are ruled out; but it's treated like an operating assumption but some parties.

In other words, when the cop is white and the victim is black, that's prima facie evidence of racism in their view.

Yes, I think a lot of white cops get too hyped on adrenaline when dealing with blacks. The cop who killed Philando Castile sounded like he was about to have psychotic break.

& it aint taking out a gun firing 5 times point blank into a mans chest..
 
And for the record Master Gracie, there's an escalation of force the police use to overcome resistance.

Initially they thought they were only encountering simple physical resistance, so they only deployed simple physical force.

Once the deadly weapon entered the equation they were justified to respond with deadly physical force.

The shooter was Hispanic. You think they have the same adrenaline rush when dealing with blacks?

Two cops had Sterling pinned to the ground and shot him at point-blank range and you don't think it was murder? Your blinders are firmly in place. Your comment that "communities with a large concentration of minorities means that many will do militant violent actions" tells me what I need to know about you.
