It's a non-partisan issue. Conservatives are dug in on it because protecting the planet has the perception of being a "liberal" issue.

Which I don't really get. The earth is God's creation, correct? I always thought that there were a few Christians on the conservative side...

Why didn't you answer any of the questions?

I don't link here. All you have to do is google "mass extinction," and you can get a lot of details about how we are causing that.

But maybe we don't need other species around? We can probably just go it alone & stuff.

You must not live in the same Florida I've lived in for going on 60 years now.

Because in my experience, January is when the really cold weather usually starts down here.

This early cold snap was a rare anomaly.

You can bet we're going to have a few more dips into the 30's and possibly one or two in the 20's before spring arrives.

This 4 day cold snap has been more than enough "winter" for me in a lifetime.

I'm hoping for a couple more sporadic days of chill but not a repeat of this!

I don't know how people do this for months at a time.

Tampa's coldest temperature on record: 60 years ago

An Arctic blast brought temperature to the teens in many Tampa Bay area communities on this day, Dec. 13, 60 years ago.

Saint Petersburg also saw its coldest temperature on record with a low of 22 degrees. Several other towns saw temperatures in the teens. Brooksville was the coldest in the area at 15 degrees. Temperatures dropped down into the low to mid-20s as far south as Sarasota.

A small handful of those coldest days were in December just like I said, cousin fucker.

The majority of them were in January and February. Again, just like I said.
