Apple; Do YOU trust the government- ANY government ?

ALL of the Republican candidates sided with Apple on the issue of breaking into the phone.

Authoritarian.

doesn't have to be all or nothing? when you compromise, you lose. or would you feel like a winner if the gov just asked for half of your home, or one of your kids?

Yes but you will not be seeing the machine gun tax repealed. Perfect is the enemy of good enough.

Damnit Man you are being an extremist. Such an action is not on r he table.

Believe it or not but anti-statists are actually making some progress.
This Apple issue is actually a cusp issue; push back against the police state. Of course the bastards are going to howl about it. Tough shit says I.

right, and 'good enough' is what gets you the prison population we currently enjoy. refusing to hold the government to the strict standards of the constitution only affords them more power over YOU.

At this point its not really a 4th Amendment issue, its clear that opening the phone, if the technology existed to do it, would be reasonable and a warrant could easily be attained.

The question is can a private company be compelled to develop software, that will help them view the information in the phone.

hmm. good point..how about "national security" ? that usually works :flagsal:
