They got the broad strokes right. I mean, the main thing is that the way we live right now IS NOT SUSTAINABLE for the long term.
No, they didn't. With CFC's they claimed the hole in the ozone layer at the South Pole would "heal and close" if these were eliminated. It's still there and still the same size. Worse, they've found a newer, bigger hole in it.

Then there's methane, water vapor, aircraft contrails, etc., they're finding contribute more than CO2 does to warming. Then they discover massive rainforests aren't "the lungs of the planet" like they thought. What these knuckleheads don't know would fill the Pacific Ocean, while what they do know wouldn't fill a teacup.
That is pretty well proven at this point, and not really disputable. There is too much "they were wrong about the ice age, so let's ignore all of the warning signs now!" kind of talk. The planet is letting us know we can't continue this way, pretty clearly.
