Can you explain where is the justice in locking up someone for exercising his constitutional right to vote -- when he was told that it was fine now for him to do so?

Yes, he got off on a technicality due to a poorly-written law. That being said, I cannot see the intentional fraud here. These people were informed, prob. by their parole officers, that their voting rights had been restored, when in fact they were not. When they registered, why was their ineligibility not flagged and caught by the state or local election authorities? Wouldn't it have made more sense to merely throw out these individuals' ballots and let them know that they were not eligible to vote, rather than making a big fake deal over "Oh look! We caught voter fraud!"?

It's just more of the typical MAGAT bullshit grandstanding for the base, rather than a sincere attempt to ensure clean elections.

Yep. In addition, there are multiple incidents of MAGATs accessing or trying to access voting machines and voter databases. And then there's the multiple incidents of fake electors, all MAGATs as well.

But yeah, DeSantis "caught" 20 former convicts who mistakenly voted because they were told it was okay for them to do so. Florida is safe again from voter fraud! :rofl2:

Most of them are, I agree. However, the person I was responding to doesn't fit in that category. Plus he's a resident of FL so has an interest in this issue. I doubt if his chosen source of news information bothered to inform its viewers that these 20 arrestees voted erroneously, not fraudulently. Doesn't fraud indicate intention to deceive on the part of the one committing it? There is no intention to commit fraud if you righteously believe that you were entitled to vote when in fact you weren't.

agreed. voter roles aren't purged,and registration is obviously not checked for felons when mailing out ballots or registration cards
The voter fraud guard should be looking at obvious cheating like multiple registrations
