Of course there are very good reasons asylum seekers should be put at the head of the line. First, there is no line. Asylum seekers have a singular case and it is predicated on their and their families safety in their home. They should be judged on that only. The basis of asylum is they are in immediate danger at home.
We need to let a lot of immigrants in right now. We need the workers. We are not repopulating the US, Our birth rate is down. Immigrant labor has always been a spur to the economy.

that danger ended when they left their home. If they are waiting outside there home (other place, other country) they would seem not to be under that threat of danger??
