I think it should be a requirement that GOP candidates put forth some effort toward possessing these traits in order to be considered for nomination. At the very least, it helps reduce the likelihood of scandals.

Asylum should be eliminated, period. There is no reason to allow these "asylum seekers" to come here over those who go through the legal channels.
Screw international laws, this is the United States of America, not some refugee camp where anyone can come here and waltz right through our borders
and claim some bullshit story for asylum. They can wait in line, they are no better than those who wish to come here legally through immigration.
And they can wait outside our borders, if they come in illegally, they should lose any chance of becoming American citizens. Arrest and deport lawbreakers.

It's not as easy to become citizens through immigration as you think. But it's much easier to come here through amnesty, and that's what pisses me off.
There should be no amnesty whatsoever. Everyone wanting to come here should wait in their own country until they're called. They should be allowed to
study here and then pass the tests, then move anywhere they choose, learn our culture and fly our flag. They are Americans now.

Of course there are very good reasons asylum seekers should be put at the head of the line. First, there is no line. Asylum seekers have a singular case and it is predicated on their and their families safety in their home. They should be judged on that only. The basis of asylum is they are in immediate danger at home.
We need to let a lot of immigrants in right now. We need the workers. We are not repopulating the US, Our birth rate is down. Immigrant labor has always been a spur to the economy.
No, they shouldn't, and there's no good reason they should. They are no better than those who go through immigration. They can wait their turn at home.
