Murder of pastors leaves evangelicals in Honduras feeling vulnerable
Misael Argeñal, a pastor of Harvest Ministry, called upon the authorities to launch a full investigation into the murder of Pastor Marroquín and others.
He was quoted as saying: “This was not a dog theft. There are already six pastors who have died in Honduras in recent months. There must be a project, an escalation … [the authorities] must investigate who is behind everything.”
Oswaldo Canales, president of the Evangelical Fellowship of Honduras, said Marroquín had received death threats prior to the shooting, although he added that this was not uncommon for pastors in the evangelical church.
“We have always been subjected to threats; we have been in the cross-hairs of those who are not in keeping with our thinking,” he said.
Marroquín is the second pastor to be murdered in Honduras this year. Raymond Fuentes, the 43-year-old pastor of the New Jerusalem Temple, was murdered on January 30 as he left evening service at his church.
His death came just days after the murder of the daughter of an evangelical pastor.

Why is this even a partisan issue?
Here is what I think everyone must remember, the vast majority of these people are seeking a better life whether that be in working, studying or living. Why these people are portrayed on both ends of the media spectrum as "criminals" at one end and "woman and children" at the other doesn't surprise.
The way in which this report is presented seems to undermine what they are doing and how they are doing it, now if a better life, job, living conditions, economy and schooling was up for grabs I don't know many people who would deny it. Their side of the story must be understood and considered. Yet the security, stability and viability of the US economy taking in this people should also be a major point of consideration.
Somebody or some Group is behind it. That's a lot of people to look after.

First and foremost I find your narrow mindedness quite concerning, that you simply categorise these individuals as some how lesser and less capable than yourself. By no means am I proposing an open border policy.
1- Human Rights- They form the basis of society (well should anyway) and whilst they cannot always be implemented or practised they can in this situation. Why should one kid be allowed to receive an education and attain a university degree and another can not. Why should this person be lesser off than another person. The fact is the US has an obligation to assist these individuals through allowance into the country (that is controlled allowance) or alternatively as least financial or program based assistance. Simply for this reason..if you leave a country to be economically, politically and socially impoverished that is when a country turns to violence, war, hate, harm, deprivation. It then spreads like a chain of events and impacts the regions surrounding and even the world. If we were more proactive than reactive wars, harm, deprivation and violence would be reduced or at least limited in some regions.
2- If you actually believe they are all "Basket Weavers" you quite clearly have a perception problem that needs to be addressed. They mostly bring skills, work, jobs, income, economic stimulation and activity (if they are working and are in an appropriate position in society). Not as the economic, societal and lifestyle burden as you portray them as.

The left advocates for either outright open borders or they pretend it’s no biggie that poor people enter the country illegally by the 10’s of thousands. And they are the ones that should be concerned about it the most.
Why? Because they want a Universal Income, Medicare for all, free college and etc. If we shut the borders down totally and just focused on granting that to people already here—it MIGHT work lol.
Anyone who cares to stop and think about it can see where this is headed. At some point the whole system will collapse.

The Low Skill/Low Wage jobs will be first to be 'Mechanized' (Like ATM Machines, Pump Your Own Gas, Check Yourself Groceries).
More Humans will be forced to be on 'Welfare'. Eventually to be replaced with a more efficient UBI system.
Importing MORE Low Skill/Low Wage Humans for non-existent jobs will only INCREASE the Humans collecting 'Welfare'/UBI in the Future.
It's a matter of National Survival.

I agree. I'm for a 'Zero Immigration Policy'. Somebody has to come up with a Policy of what the Country is going to look like when our grandchildren are the population, we won't be here ... they will. What do WE want to leave THEM? (Hopefully it's not some overcrowded hellhole like India)
