And the truth is revealed

You PROJECT that all liberals like Micheal Moore ..as a response to Ami Horowitz being a liar and a con man. You bore me with your irrational crap.

I'm sorry.. but I hold Americans in high regard and I expect more than your idiocy or Donald Trump.

Please show where I PROJECTED the idea of ALL, prior to your response to me (#57).

No one really gives a flying fuck what you "expect", so get over yourself. :D

The US needs to focus on our own problems, before we make attempts to help others solve their problems, such as homelessness, Veteran's not receiving help, children going hungry, parents who probably should never have been parents, children waiting for adoption, etc.

Does anyone else adhere to the adage of:

You can't heal someone else, until you heal yourself.

Birth Control. Some Countries don't believe in Birth Control. They have MORE children than they have jobs for. Solution? Send them to the United States.
In 50 years, when the US looks like India, too many people and not enough jobs, what do we do THEN?

I've used this scenario before and the JPP liberals got all upset; because they FELT that I was calling illegal immigrants "INSECTS".

But let me try again and see if they can make the connection, without melting down.

I grew up on farms, when I was younger, and the worst thing that everyone worried about, were locusts; because when they became huge swarms, they would descend on fields and devastate the crops.
Then when they were done, they would move on to the nearest area and devastate those fields.

At that time there wasn't much that could be done about them; except sometimes the farmers would burn the infested fields, in an attempt to control further infestations.

If there is unfettered "migration" to countries that are in better shape, what's going to happen when the better countries is now like the one the migrants came from?

Migration must be controlled and not just be a "FEEL GOOD" moment.

I think that is what it is. A 'feel good' position. No forward thinking involved, just a 'Politically Correct' position to take with no consideration of the impact on the Future of the Country.

The Example I use:
If a Rancher has a Pasture that can feed 10 Horses adequately, what happens when he puts 20 Horses in the Pasture?

That's a bit simplistic but has the same message as your example. I'm more concerned with the Technology of 'Automation, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence'. They all ignore that, then say "You're a Racist!". Which effectively ends any further discussion. :(

I think you missed the point of my argument.
In the Future, Machines are going to be doing most of the Work. Not Humans.
The Low Skill/Low Wage jobs will be first to be 'Mechanized' (Like ATM Machines, Pump Your Own Gas, Check Yourself Groceries).
More Humans will be forced to be on 'Welfare'. Eventually to be replaced with a more efficient UBI system.
Importing MORE Low Skill/Low Wage Humans for non-existent jobs will only INCREASE the Humans collecting 'Welfare'/UBI in the Future.

It's a matter of National Survival.

I now better understand where you are coming from.

However it would be wrong to think that just because some sectors are going to experience displacement of humans by machines doesn't mean everything is. New industries, jobs will open, current industries and jobs will grow.

For example....you introduce robots into manufacturing. This may reduce the number of individuals on the factory floor, yet it will create new jobs as mechanics for the robot. It will create new jobs in programming etc.. It will stimulate the growth and success of the robotics industry and the company that supplied it, creating new jobs and challenging more innovation and entrepreneurial ability.

To further my point. I have no idea how you believe more humans will be on welfare. Your future perception is flawed and simply a view which is wrong and very narrowed. The workings of the economy, technological advancement and the nature of the world does not over time simply cause more people to be on welfare. Its Government policy.

We are living in the now. The caravans are now. The crisis is now. Not "maybe" this will happen in the future. Not "maybe" if this happened.

We apparently disagree.
Humans used to build Machines. Now, we have Machines building Machines (like the Robotics in the Car Industry). In the not too distant Future, we will have Machines that build the Machines that build Machines. There will be LESS need for Human Labor. There WILL be a smart, Capital-Owning Class, that live in 'Gated Communities'. There WILL also be a less-smart, non-Capital-Owning Class. You get to decide NOW how big that poor, not-too-smart, category of Humans gets to be in 50 years.

We're all Products of that 'genetic roll of the dice'. None of us get to choose what 'Hand we are Dealt'.

It is undoubtable that will occur, however I think you are missing a whole other part of this argument. You are simply focusing on manufacturing and its future, this is affirmed by your clear use of "Human Labour" and reference to the car industry.

There are industries that will continue to grow through population growth and natural growth. There are industries that will be created in response to various economic, techological and social occurrences. You seem to negate this notion. Technology will not in the near future replace teaching, creatives, acting, social workers, health care industry, lawyers, economists and so many more. These will continue to grow as a result of the simplistic nature of supply and demand and population growth. You seem to not even accept this fact Look at Uber, enabled through technology. Creating jobs. Creating a transformed sector of an industry to increase. Technology enabled YouTube to become a platform for a full time career where money cannot be made. Its a two way street when it comes to technology. Not the one way street of decreasing human involvement as you assert it to be.

You're right, it is my assessment. The Middle Class is disappearing. There WILL be the Ownership Class, and there WILL be the Worker Drone Class. How large do YOU want the Worker Drone Class to be?
If you are in the Ownership Class, it certainly makes sense to over supply the Labor Market to drive down wages and increase competition. I totally understand that position. We all want to increase the Bottom Line on our Quarterly Statements.
