confederate flags, for one. idiots on the right want to make it a felony to disrespect the American flag while idiots on the left demand their right to burn and stomp it.............while at the same time idiots on the right feel it's their perfect right to fly the confederate flag while idiots on the left want to ban it, or shut out and shun as traitors, those that do wave it............the bottom line is, neither of you on the right or left give a damn about the 1st Amendment anymore, just your bastardized belief of it.

I support burning Confederate flags and Nazi flags.
None of it should be prosecuted as a crime.
Making flag desecration a crime is suitable for a nation like North Korea or the Islamic Republic of Iran.

That said, I'm a staunch supporter of the First Amendment and, while I don't condone deliberately desecrating symbols, I support the right to do so given it's privately owned and done in a legal manner.

I personally would never burn a Confederate flag. Flag burning is just tacky and uncouth.
The people who actually drove nails into the coffins of slavery, fascism, Soviet communism did it without burning anybody's flag.

The confederate flag has got different meaning to different people, some see it as a symbol of enslavement, and resent it, and others really don't care if an individual flies confederate flag. The issue here is that both sides have got the same rights but a different opinion.
