Americans Paid $90 Billion MORE In Taxes After Republican Tax Cut

For the seventh time, they're not free! You're still paying a payroll tax. The gross amount you pay is determined by your income, but it's a flat rate.

Why can't you debate honestly? Why must you engage in sophistry as your sole tactic?

I never mentioned health care. You brought that up as a diversion. Previously you said the wealthy were going to pay for those programs and now you say it is through a payroll tax.

Free college and forgiving student loans (free money) are the programs I mentioned and will not be paid by the payroll tax.

So you believe that only the 1% work hard enough to justify wage increases, but the bottom 99% do not work hard?

not at all......I believe you are unemployed, which explains why you didn't get the increased wages that everyone who worked did.......

What the candidate accepts or doesn't accept does not mean they do not benefit from that big spending. You are not that naive but just giving it the partisan spin.

You are so consumed with BoTh SiDeS aRe ThE sAmE that you literally ignore what two of the three leading contenders have said.

The compulsion to BoTh SiDeS comes from a place of inherent and instinctual laziness.

Look at the campaign disclosures to see the large contributions from wealthy groups spent on behalf of candidates. They can only give $2700 to a candidate, but they spend hundreds of millions. That is their wealthy supporters you pretend do not exist.

Have you looked at those for Warren and Sanders? No.

If federal debt as a percentage of GDP continues to rise at the pace that CBO projects it would under current law.

What is the current law?

The Russia Tax Cut.

And what have I said should be repealed?

The Russia Tax Cut.

So here you are, showing everyone that tax cuts cause debt and deficits.

I never mentioned health care.

That's what we've been talking about! Raising taxes to pay for health care.

Yeesh.

Previously you said the wealthy were going to pay for those programs and now you say it is through a payroll tax.

They are paying for those programs because there is no cap on the taxable income for them.

Now you're stuck in this game where you're trying to parse out things I've said so that you don't have to reconcile them with your beliefs and poor judgment.

Free college and forgiving student loans (free money) are the programs I mentioned and will not be paid by the payroll tax.

Right, those are funded by higher taxes on the wealthy, as they should be.

It's great to see tax revenue up, coupled with us paying less taxes

win win

Considering health care is the #1 expenditure in this country, 17% of GDP, and the largest part of our federal budget, it's not a diversion, it's the whole fucking point.

but I thought Obamacare fixed all that :rofl2:

nut**bags

Again, Sanders and Warren have both forsaken PAC money.

You're not paying attention; you're acting in bad faith and exercising sophistry because of your ego.

You're not as savvy or intuitive as you think.

Get over yourself.

You're pretending to be dumb. PAC money does not all go to the candidates. They have no limit on spending if the money is spent on campaign ads or other campaign activities but not given to the candidates. That way they can spend much more money.

Clinton spent $700 million on her campaign but total spending on behalf of her candidacy was over $1.1 billion.

Government revenue is measured in terms of fiscal year.

No it's not.

And whether or not it is measured in terms of the fiscal year doesn't change the fact that the first 12 months of the Russia Tax Cut saw less revenue than the 12 months prior to it.
