Bernies original role was to push Hillary to the left. However he began to think that he could actually win. Once that happened, instead of moving her, he attacked her . Many of his attacks became fodder for Daffy Donalds debates. Bernie did hurt Hillary. Yet hew as not close to winning. The Dems should not have given Bernie the rights to debate her. He is not a Dem. So why did they allow him to use their stages and their money to attack her? I suppose they thought debating him would have been good practice for meeting the Republican candidate. It was a mistake.

The issue is the system itself, Don is merely a symptom of a diseased and corrupt political and economic system. We were going to get the same global interventionist war mongering, global militarist occupations, economic cannibalization at home, surveillance state citizen directed spying, and the usual cabal of Goldman Sachs execs in the white house "either" way. Let's not let Don's abilility to excite the lizard brains of those who would like to believe they/we are "the resistance" lead us to imagine that Don's eventual departure from office will leave us anywhere other than where we were headed "either" way.

The power structure will always find another face to present to the rabble. Our societal trajctory is pretty clear at this point and "both" parties have had ample time and opportunity to do something other than blame the "other" political party.

I do not discount everything you've said here .. but THE point is that this is the only system we have. Either one engages in it seeking the best possible outcomes for future generations, or they let other people make that decision for them.

Americans are a colonized people. Nothing anyone can do about that.

In this system you ARE allowing other people make that decision for you, that's rather the point. That's how you got to "choose" between Don and Hillary. And if as you say, and I do see exactly what you assert, that Americans are a colonized people, they are such as a direct result of the system; that's its purpose and intent, that's the vision of those we vote for, it works for them. No one is suggesting that we disengage, but rather that voting is not engagement. Clearly. Americans have been voting all along, in this system, for these "two" choices.
