I love how liberals/democrats embrace such a misnomer.
Idiots.
Everyone is a native of someplace. I was born here, therefore I am a native.
You're not an indigenous American. Yes, you're native by birth- but not of origin. The First Nations are indigenous.

Untrue; because it's been proven that they also immigrated from elsewhere.

Asia, by most accounts- but the First Nations are exactly that- ' here first '- ergo ' indigenous '.

Are you truly English?
Not necessarily, seeing as how it's been shown that there were others here first; ie. the Clovis people.

You think if I was born in England then I'd be English ? Sure, I'd be a native of England.
Who were the real ' English ' though ? There aren't any such people. England has been conquered many times over- so there are no indigenous ' English ' as there are indigenous North Americans.
Same with most European countries. The Europeans well and truly fucked each other over before they went a-sailing and fucked over everybody else.[/QUOTE
You seem to argue that there are no true natives. I agree.

To the contrary- I'm pointing out that there are indigenous North Americans - the truly native Americans- and there are Europeans claiming native status by birth. That's OK- as long as the palefaces don't think that they're the real North Americans.
We're talking about the ' Clovis people '- the first inhabitants of North America- the indigenous Americans simply because there is no evidence of any other people prior to them. They are the ancestors of the North American Indian tribes- anthropology tells us.
North Americans is a far better name. It differentiates them from the later European immigrants.
I'm surprised they actually use American Indian now, instead of Native American. Seems like a huge compromise for leftists.
But your conclusion is a fallacy; because the Clovis people are not and never were what is now referred to as "Native Americans" because while they have a limited DNA connection, through "relationships", the Clovis people disappeared during the time that immigration was occurring, during a later time, over the frozen bearing sea.
