If you support such programs being in place at all, you've already lost on the "I don't want more ppl to be responsible for - PERIOD!!" By those programs continuing to exist and millions more on them every year, more and more become someone else's responsibility all the time. That doesn't bother you?

I've traveled all over the country and have the potential of using every road for which my taxes fund. That I haven't used all of them is by choice not because I've been told I can't.

As far as the tanks and missiles. I prefer those better qualified to use them do so. As far as taxes for them, the military is something for which the Constitution delegates. Therefore, I don't have to personally use them for taxes to fund them. That's one of the few major roles of the federal government.
