Do you understand the factors involved in a defamation suit? Heard called Depp a wife-beater. She has proof he's a wife-beater. It doesn't matter if she said he was a bigger wife-beater than he admits being. It's not a matter of degree, it's whether he's actually a wife-beater or not. He is one. Case closed.

She doesn't have much talent. I saw the Rum Diary. I'd never heard of her before this trial. And now, she probably won't get much work again. Women hate her because she is such a lying bitch. Her poor acting is on display right in the court room -- not a single tear!

There are two actors I think are exceptionally decent, down-to-earth people; Johnny Depp and Keanu Reeves.

I so hope Johnny wins. But even if he doesn't, his popularity will surge again because of this and she will go into permanent obscurity, where she was before she met him.

In a Hollywood that has been burned into ashes having talent and telling good stories are now both pretty much irrelevant.

I did just get home from Downton Abbey, the first theater experience since the second week Feb, 2020, which was pretty good.

I don't remember her from anything. She's pretty. You're probably right about her being a talentless gold-digging cunt but that's not what this case depends upon. You're trying to make it a popularity contest and that's not how the law works.

As for Depp, he's a well known arrogant drunk. He has talent and squandered it.

If you want to compare people, compare him to Robert Downey Jr. Both were highly talented young men who quickly shot to stardom and quickly became victims of their own success with drug addiction. Downey even went to prison for it. He had a lot of choice of paths and chose to clean himself up and work on his career. Depp only gave it a half baked and is now a 58 year old wife-beating drunk with an ego so large he wants to beat his ex down one more time.

All of Johnny's exes say he was never violent to them once. Highly unlikely the man went 58 years and suddenly decided to become a wife beater to a gold digger cunt. Me and most women don't buy this bullshit.

Meh. Time will tell. Obviously you are much more emotionally invested in this than I am. I believe both are self-inflated Hollywood flakes and wackadoodles. If both died of drug ODs today, I wouldn't miss them.

My only interest is academic; the difficulty in proving defamation in a case where the plaintiff is, indeed, a wife-beating drunk.

Her career isn’t red hot, her only recent role is Aquaman 2 and they have cut her scenes and removed her from the contract.

The judge was very biased and did not allow a lot of evidence that the US trial is allowing. The British trial was a sham. Depp has asked for an appeal.
