Hello archives,
A good observation.
Russia is trying to help Trump gain approval in order to maintain the chaos and polarization in the USA for as long as possible.
But this may actually have the opposite effect. If it leads to better working conditions for Amazon workers, that makes America greater. It is ridiculous that Bezos is so rich and his workers are afraid to drink water on the job so they won't have to go pee. I believe they are under unreasonable pressure to increase productivity levels. I recall a story a while back about USA Amazon stationing ambulances outside one of their warehouses in the summer because it got to be 110 degrees in there and people could not keep up the pace, but tried anyway until some of them dropped from heat exhaustion and had to be carted off. They also had more people on call to replace the ones who dropped.
At some point we have to say that capitalism's push for more profits goes too far. How rich does one guy have to be before he has 'enough?' What is the point of that, really? After one has way more money than they would ever need to have everything they could ever want to buy in one lifetime why do they need more money?
At some point you have to figure that if all this money doesn't make the guy happy nothing will.
Bezos: Chill OUT, dude! Why not kick back and enjoy life? What the heck would it hurt ya to give your workers a better deal? So what if you raked in cash at a slower pace? It's not the end of the world. You could be very popular by easing up, and still make good money.
I am wondering if it might be a good idea to have every corporation revert to an employee-owned plan upon the death of it's originator.
How does it help us to let the rich buy and sell companies?
Usually, whenever that happens people get laid off.
