I'm not sure what Tom or any of the other rape threads have to do with WB's OP but I didn't see anyone say they disputed that the OP was real or anyone say they knew it was satire after it had been exposed. Politicians make for great satire because it's not outrageous to think Akin may have said that.

Dear Bijou... I think Darla was absolutely the lunatic in the room, though you gave her a good running. She accused Tom of being a rapist, with no evidence at all. Yet she proclaims he is an apologist because he believes his friend when his friend said he was falsely accused. She accuses him of being a liar. Again, no evidence. If they had that kind of control over him he'd have dropped out of the race when they asked. It is silly to project that kind of control over somebody who abjectly refused to pay attention to them publicly on a different matter.

The reality is, the GOP doesn't like this guy and will run a write-in candidate against him. And that certainly won't be because they have this fictional control you project onto them.

IN Reality the RNC has pulled its money out of what they once found to be the most effecient place to put it. They will now spend it somewhere else.

The Democrats will not try to run against the Romney/Ryan/Akin ticket.
