Has nothing to do with "my choices" at all... We lost the election, remember? The fact of the matter is, your president Hussein has issued an executive order, stating that all interrogations by the CIA will follow the Army Field Manual, and there are no exceptions. The Army Field Manual stipulates very clearly, there is no form of 'coerced interrogation' to be used, threatened, or even hinted at. Period! That means, our interrogation strategy is reduced to offering them things, being nice to them, asking if they would please cooperate, and giving them full legal representation. Nothing more! It's not up to me! It's not my choice! It doesn't matter what I would choose to do! See... that's the part of this you don't seem to be getting, Sol! The election was over in November, you don't need to argue your case anymore, you won! You are going to get exactly the type of terrorist interrogation you demanded, and there ain't a damn thing I can do about it!
Now, you can keep calling what I advocated "torture" all you like, if that makes you feel better. I just know it worked, it got results, and it prevented numerous terror attacks on innocent Americans. We'll have to wait and see how well your idea works. The way I see it, your idea is idiocy on a grand scale, and will surely result in certain terror attacks, but maybe not... maybe alQaeda will be so impressed by our upholding of principles and fairness, they will just melt like butter! Maybe the promise of a warm bed and hot coffee will encourage them to be our friend and tell us all their plans? We will see!
