Accidental Racist?

It's a famous Tarantino movie about a red fish that gets lost in the tide, and then washes up on Jones Beach where all of the Massapequa Italians call it the n-word.

I am surprised you have not heard of it?

Bawahahahaha, thanks

He is nowhere close. Ben Afleck is a better director... and Afleck sucks ass.

You're the 1st person I've ever seen who has described Pulp Fiction as anything less than brilliant.

I can see where he might not be your taste as far as style goes, but he's definitely one of the most innovative, creative guys out there now. He really created a whole genre unto itself; that kind of style is copied in so many movies & shows now.

LOL at superfreak. Pulp fiction is an achievement and milestone in cinema, and is in many critics top movies of all time list.

But it doesn't appear to be a Tarantino flick. You named it your favorite Tarantino flick derp.

I don't think you'll see Denzel in a Tarantino flick anytime soon.

Denzel Washington Says He Squashed 7-Year Feud With Quentin Tarantino

Apparently the feud between the two Hollywood A-listers began around 1995, when Washington worked on the film “Crimson Tide.” Allegedly, Tarantino, who visited the set of the film, had done an uncredited rewrite of the movie script by adding pop-culture, reference-ladened dialogue that Washington deemed racist. Reportedly, after reviewing the rewrite, Washington did not take too kindly to Tarantino’s presence. The award-winning actor confronted Tarantino and read him the riot act about his constant use of racial slurs in the film.
Tarantino supposedly did not want the heated discussion he was having with Washington to become a public spectacle and urged him to take their talk to a more private setting.

Washington refused to move from the public spot, where they had been arguing, and allegedly told the director in no uncertain terms, “No, if we’re going to discuss it, let’s discuss it now.”

Tarantino's fetish for the N word is nothing new.

Wow - that is interesting. "Crimson Tide" is one of those Bruckheimer/Tony Scott flicks - I like their movies, but they're practically the opposite of what Tarantino does. It's surprising to hear he was even involved in that flick at one point.

And how in the heck to SF know that?

Didn't you get the memo, SF knows all, just ask him!

Bad memory then, I thought he was one of the writers. Turns out he was an uncredited writer on it. My fault... somewhere in my memory is him talking about it.

The Quentin Tarantino Archives

Crimson Tide is a 1995 submarine action adventure film directed by True Romance director, Tony Scott. The film featured the first collaboration between star Denzel Washington and Scott.

It's relation to Tarantino lies in the fact that the then young screenwriter was given the script to rewrite some dialogue. Scott, suggested Tarantino to the studio to doctor the script after having done True Romance, and Tarantino did the job. At the time, it is believed he was not in the WGA just yet, so was not allowed a credit on the film. One earmarked piece is the famous The Silver Surfer speech. The character Rand Vossler is also one of Tarantino's tidbits.

Beyond his fetish for racist words and images .. he is a talented screenwriter. True Romance was a really good movie.

"I'd fuck Elvis." :0)

That is probably how I knew. Big fan of Hackman and Washington. At some point I must have read something about that. I have a lot of trivial facts like that in my head.

<insert jokes here>

exactly... he simply tries to see how violent/graphic/vulgar he can be. The bulk of his work is pure crap.

He does over-the-top popcorn movies. True Romance was really good, I recommend it .. of course the N word is in it.

It was actually a Tony Scott film.
