A question for JPP anti-Trump zealots

The Snowflake is melting because he feels that the other Snowflakes were melting.

That seems to be the case.

I didn't notice this passion for protecting female journalists when a leftist assaulted Taylor Lorenz in Charlottesville.

There's real evidence for that, yet the High Oracle of Situational Selectivity (HOSS) and his fawning throng seem totally unconcerned about it.

If I'm guilty of association with Trump supporters making abusive reporters uncomfortable then you need to be guilty of Antifa attacking veterans in wheelchairs. That's OK with me since I'm still at a much higher moral ground.

Try reading that again. I said that you were blaming the reporters at the rally for the media in general; that's what I meant w/ guilt by association.

Well, as I said in the next response - Bush appointed a crony to FEMA instead of someone experienced, and when the local efforts broke down and were failing, he was slow to react & lead.

Weak attempt at equivalency. But that's what I have come to expect from you, HOSS.

Point taken.

Hey, I'm old school. I don't like to see anyone in that position, but definitely feel a little more protective of it when it's a woman. But no one who is just there to do their job should be singled out like that, and have to work in that kind of hostile environment. You're coming from a place of guilt by association, but most of those reporters work hard to get at the truth, and are just doing their jobs.

It's truly disgusting that you could support that kind of reaction against them, when they're so outnumbered in that situation. But that's what most of you guys are about. I'm glad I'm not that way.

I disagree with your assertion that most "work hard to get the truth". If so, there wouldn't be so much fake news. I can barely read my local paper anymore since it's filled with such obvious untruths.

I think that your entire accusation is hilarious, considering that I have seen no such outrage from you about Antifa.

I've spoken out against Antifa. I think you're using "outrage" pretty loosely there.

My problem w/ the treatment of reporters at a Trump rally is that Trump is goading his supporters on - it really is ugly if you can step back from your partisan perspective & see it for what it is. "Fake news" is too drilled into your brain - the majority of reporters are people who worked hard to get where they are & continue to work hard to get the truth. And they're vital to our democracy. If you're going to cast guilt on all or most of them, you'd better have more than a few headlines you don't like or that you think are biased.

But again, show me a sitting President or other leader goading on Antifa, and then you can have your equivalency.

Most have spoken out against violence, the sillies just chose to ignore it.

Who has Trump 'goaded on' that's comparable to Antifa, HOSS? :dunno:

The problem is that they are trying to equate antifa and BLM with Nazis and white supremacists when no such comparison exists.

Antifa are communists. Nazis are Nazis. BLM I'm not sure about, but I suspect there's a few black Supremacists amongst them [when they object to 'all lives matter' it makes me suspicious]. And white supremacists---are white supremacists.

There's no moral distinction between communists and Nazis worth mentioning. All supremacists are bigots, on steroids, regardless of race.

That's sort of all one can say about it.

Contrary to your assertion, I haven't been at Trump Rallies or seen videos of what you're accusing Trump of doing. I do, however, note that you can't answer folks when asked if attacks on the media have occurred. Based on that, I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you have a case of selective outrage.

I'm also amused that you continue to assert that reporters of late are vital to our democracy. Journalism died several years ago. Again, in my local paper, 100% of the political reporting is garbage.

Democrat mayors have ordered the police in their cities to stand down when Antifa attacks groups that they hate. That is de facto support of Antifa.

LOL Take your head out of your ass.

If you haven't seen it, I'm guessing you haven't watched the rallies. At the most recent one, he stirred the crowd up against the reporters, and then stepped back, almost as if to give the crowd time & see what would happen. It was menacing at best; not sure how you could condone that behavior.

No - I don't have selective outrage. I answered Darth's repeated irrelevant question about whether there were actual attacks. There can be hostility & people can feel threatened w/out there being an actual attack. You don't seem to be able to comprehend that.

And you had better believe that the media is vital to our democracy. Man, you simply have no idea about that. If you want to see the world where the media isn't that, take a look at oppressive regimes throughout history.

You guys really are fools. You just buy everything Trump tells you, without questioning.

Its CAT 5 and bearing down on Puerto Rico as we speak. They've had to invent new color codes to symbolize the wind speed. Thanks climate science deniers. Thanks Big Oil.

Pipe down you damn idiot. This is not the first CAT 5 hurricane in history, nor for the United States. Stop with your bullshit in times like this.

Hit me back when antifa kills innocent people. Maybe then you'd have a point.

So once more, you have zero evidence that any reporter was ever attacked at a Trump rally.

You could've just admitted what we already knew without all the equivocation.

But that wouldn't have been like you, would it, HOSS? :rofl2:
