A new era dawns in relations with China

That is what trump did to obama..............:palm:

Most seem to think the Biden approach will continue some of the moves trump put in place, but adding allies-NOT GOING IT ALONE...
what? undoing the "Asian pivot" that never happened under Obama? what do you mean?

ROFL.. so you think we can partner up with the EU or somebody to check China?
how does that work? it doesn't. China is an expert at driving wedges thru partnerships against it.

Sorry. either we do a bi-lateral, or we join some Bad Trade Group - deleterious for the US otherwise
or we let the status quo continue -and you know how that ends

Ihave been hearing that for 29 years now..

In past decades, China had been much wiser in its handling of private debt. It also had the advantage of being the cheapest labor with the best infrastructure (relatively speaking). Now, they have to take extra measures to compete with various cheaper nations like Honduras and Bangladesh. That only works for so long.

Here's how pissed off they are.

https://www.rfa.org/english/news/vi...hat overlap with the sweeping claims of China.

China basically claims the entirety of the South China Sea as their territorial waters right down to a 3 to 5 mile limit off other nation's coasts. They have ignored international agreements and treaties totally over this region and are trampling the smaller countries into submission.

Biden's the sort of lame ass that will go along with China's claims for a big personal payoff.
& yet they are all on the China express to serfdom............

China now wants to break up the US Indian relationship for obvious reasons!

https://www.express.co.uk/news/worl...report-Donald-trump-joe-biden-army-latest-ont

This has been clear for a while..... Hopefully Biden continues to reach out to India & strengthen the relationship & ties.

While India & Wakistan both occupy Kashmir, China stole part of it & has continued to occupy it, as they do w/ their bogus claims to the south china sea..

The world needs to stand against the ccp aggression......

China is buying them all off.......

Not wasting time explaining it to you.. If you can't keep up, stay out............. :nodyes:

Bull, they are no experts.... It is really, really simple..... Threats, just like your beloved does........

Bi-lateral failed, trump had his chance & got a hill of beans, because that is all he could get........

You stick w/ your trump can fix everything illusions while you can............ Sign up for his new network & stay up on latest truths, alternative truths & trump words of wisdom..........

Yes, & I am happy to see products now available from other nations-NOT JUST MADE IN CHINA...........

So you really think only you sees problems in CHina?? They are oblivious to it??

They are moving up the food chain...........

What do you have to say about the ASEAN deal & the ramifications for the USA & the rest of the world......... Today, next year, next decade??

The problems China faces are largely self-inflicted. They have a political system that is untenable for the long term, because it perpetuates a high level of corruption. When China was making money hand over fist, it didn't matter, but as they are faced with a much more challenging trade environment, they need a less corrupt political system to manage things.

The ASEAN deal seems sensible enough. It doesn't strike me as much different from things like the EU or Mercosur.

Sure, it's a challenge to our power, but that's the nature of a multipolar world. I guess we got used to the idea of calling the shots, but we'd better get used to adapting back to how the world has been for most of human history. Multipolar trade environments require smart decision making to accommodate a balance of comparative advantage and national interests. Allowing our corporations to continue to sell out to China isn't the way forward, but we seem to remain on that course.

Intelligent people know that Trump put the United States and China on a collision course for war!

A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson on Thursday slammed a paper that listed "ten tasks" for the United States to accomplish to deal with China's rise, calling it another collection of lies piled up by the those "living fossils of the Cold War" from the U.S. State Department.

Spokesperson Zhao Lijian
a Biden bot posting CCP propaganda.. how fitting..:palm:

ha ha ha
what you don't understand about trade -especially with China could fill volumes.
The only multi-lateral out there is the TPP -do you want that?

And Trump didn't upend anything about Obama on China trade. Obama abandoned his "Asian Pivot"

ROFL.. you cant "explain" how we "partner" against China on trade because we can't..lol

Bilateral is the only way we can use our economic size and also effectively sanction China if/when they cheat.

you've already seen how globalist institutions like the WTO are a paper tiger - why do you think it will work again?
But "IT'S TRUMP" and you simply can't handle the fact Trump has the best ideas on trade

Phase 1 is not a "failure" it's stillborn because of COVID. we were on a path to a comprehensive trade deal=
US Trade Rep. Lighthizer hammered it out despite China's balking every step of the way

corps need to be reined in.
just how to do that...there are protections against IP theft ( J.Venture agreements, etc.) in phase 1.
But Beijing Biden will never follow up on those

Trump tried to fight back against these corporations, but clearly, they won in the end.

I dunno to what extent he actually fought w/ them...... I can recall a few isolated instances but realistically I don't know what he could have actually done to prevent them from doing whatever they want..

They essentially have the country by the balls & they call the shots..

They rob & steal & when shit implodes they get the gumbment aka American tax payers to bail their asses out w/out...

& then threaten to leave if you raise their taxes to pay for the roads to their businesses, & educate the workers working there & the police to protect them etc etc etc.......

While I am not a big fan of Steve Bannon, on this he was 100% correct.........

They will abandon us in a heart beat, & sadly one day they will do exactly that I am afraid
