A comedian more than doubles Beck's pathetic crowd

I am sorry you missed the humor.

To me just the fact that they did it is enough to make me giggle.
Nobody "missed" the humor, just like they don't with a knock-knock joke or a bad pun. It was just crappy humor. I felt like I wasted the time I spent watching the bits that I saw, the jokes were terrible, like the worst of SNL.

It appears it went directly over your head, he was not copying Beck.
You do realize that the more you have to try to "explain" what you think the point is, the less funny it ever was...

We should call it a Universal Law.

Is that necessarily true? Don't you think there are some who will never get anything, no matter how you explain it?

Fault can just as easily be with the one not getting it, imo....

you said he mimicked him....like colbert does of o'reily...eg, even colbert admits he copied o'reilly....

notice you still dont' have one single example of this skewing of not only beck, but his followers....

It really doesn't matter whose "fault" it is, it is still universally true. The more you feel the need to explain the humor, the less funny it is.

Certainly, the less funny it becomes w/ each subsequent explanation. But I don't think the fact that there are obtuse people who don't get it to begin w/ and need to keep hearing the explanation = the idea that the original line wasn't funny.

If all you're saying is that it becomes less & less funny each time, agreed.

Where did I try to explain the point? I simply pointed out that he missed the point. Two different things. Some people will never understand a point, even if you explain it to them, they dont want to understand.

It certainly is a problem....some people just refuse to get the point...
Try this....
Someone does something, hosts a party, takes a trip, etc......and YOU DO THE SAME THING BECAUSE OF IT.....thats called C O P Y I N G
it ain't rocket science...
Its in the dictionary, look it up, learning English could be a big advantage to you in your job as Democratic apologist.....

You can continue to harp on that, its different when you are lampooning someone!

Well, get that dictionary out and find me where it says, the reason for an action changes the basic meaning of that action....I'll wait.

:palm:

where are those examples of skewing jarod? i take it you now realize youi're full of crap and have run away from your claim....3 X i've asked and have gotten nothing

Yurt, the mere fact of doing the event was a skewering.... It was very funny to ridicule Beck in that way.... at least to me.

Yeah, it's especially funny that all those corporate interests that sponsored the event did it all just to spite someone, with not other motivation whatsoever behind it.

if only you would follow your own dreams...

the end of stewart's speech was pretty good

but to compare this to beck is nonsense...that is like comparing an eddie murphy comedy show to a glenn beck speech...its really embarrassing to watch people like watermark make this out like it proves something
Glenn Beck's speech was the embarrassment, I felt like I was at a religious tent revivL~

I'll type slow...it is like Tina Fey and Sarah Palin, is that a little clearer, and parody is funny! Dave Chapelle being Prince, like that! IT is humor!

The whole thing was a parody...
