A comedian more than doubles Beck's pathetic crowd

We need to disconnect from the collective that says, "I am not capable, my neighbors are not these things" and connect with the American spirit that built this country.

It's not the collective, it is a group of individuals that say, yes, I can.

I can do it.

I can achieve it.

I can build it.

I can help that person in need, because I am worthy and strong and smart and charitable and able and peaceful.

When you take your responsibility, when you pick it up for what's happening in your own life, then you will experience true freedom and we will deserve a republic.

The realization that you do not have to depend on someone is the most liberating moment you will ever have in your whole life.

America will only continue to be the greatest country in the world if we all resolve that "I am."

If we resolve and remember and believe "I am," and then the winning slogan in 2012 will be "yes, I can."

LOL watertard bought the CBS bullshit.

87K at beck rally?

If people aren't awake now, what would it take to wake them up, and how much more trouble needs to happen in this country before people say, I have got to choose sides, I have to figure this out on my own and pick up my responsibility and not just my rights?

Regardless of how many people attended the Stewart rally, or how what color they were... It was very funny ridicule of Beck, and I love that. Beck and his followers got skewered and it was funny!

It was two years ago that Americans flooded the polls to vote for change and we were promised hope, and instead, we were given despair.

We knew that jobs was the number one issue.

We asked for jobs, and Americans were given unemployment.

Beck

Are you using his words or are they your own? I really hope you are a parody, if so you're great. Funny stuff. If not I have a question.

can i see your red longjohns?

the crowds look to be about the same size

Stewart actually didn't want a "scientific" crowd comparison to be done because of how difficult it is to measure crowd size without tickets. But I'm a partisan ass. :)

Here's a picture of Beck's crowd:

Stewart's crowd:

(I linked rather than posted this image because I couldn't find a copy that wasn't fucking huge and didn't stretch the page)

And an aerial shot of the mall so that you can compare them yourself:

BTW, the 60k figure is what CC was expecting, the 150k figure is what they bought porta-potties for. Neither is an estimation of the actual crowd size.

Fox News claimed that Beck's crowd was 300k-500k, but, as you can see, Stewarts crowd is at least similar in size to Beck's crowd.

LOL I do believe that is a point they have completely missed. One of these days a real politician will capture Stewarts message that this nation is fed up with wingnuts of all stripe. We want competent government. Not a bunch of inept and incompetent bickering partisans.

Without using partisan strategies it's practically impossible to actually get into government. It's like unilateral nuclear disarmament. The other side is just going to fuck you over. That's why I think Obama should have been on the attack from day one. The only real way that there has ever been political peace in the US was through the complete and total annihilation of the other side, not through us just all sitting down, holding hands, and singing kumbaya. All that ever happens when one attempts such a scenario is that the other side will see your weakness and exploit it.

So your opening post and label is just so much bullshit, right?

CBS news is then , also full of crap. But then the media is far-left and I expect that....

Big whoop for both. I went to the Beach Boys concert there on the 4th of July in 85 and the crowd there stretched from the Capital pond where the stage was set up past the Washington monument and about half way from the Washington Monument to the Lincoln memorial. That's at least 4 times the size of either one of those crowds.

If I was to interpret that politically then I'd could rightfully say rock in roll is far more relevant then either liberals or conservative partisans. lol

Well, if you're on the left, I can't really help you with that one because what was it that Van Jones and those guys were talking about at the big meeting over the summer?

Oh, yes, I remember.

Get on the streets and agitate and do the things you have to do to force this president to do the things he knows he has to do.

Hmm.

Boy, if there's violence, it would almost be like a big government progressive would be able to use that emergency to grab even more power, take away more freedoms.

So, I can't help you on the left.

This message is hidden because Glenn Beck is on your ignore list.

i think legion troll is the most ignored poster on the interwebs....:nodyes:

if only you would follow your own dreams...

the end of stewart's speech was pretty good

but to compare this to beck is nonsense...that is like comparing an eddie murphy comedy show to a glenn beck speech...its really embarrassing to watch people like watermark make this out like it proves something

really? give me specific examples of how beck AND his so called followers go skewered...mr. purported 14 million dollar personal injury lawyer

Ironic, Yurtsie describing someone else as a "purported" lawyer.

The event itself was lampooning the Beck event, Beck himself, and anyone who is a deciple of Beck.

Just open your eyes. It was funny!
