A campaign rally 7 months into a new administration?? There is a reason

DUMB enough to believe that he's smarter than everybody else. :0)

An irrational DUMMY with his finger on the nuclear trigger.

i bet u said the same thing about nixon reagan and both bushes

2 bad man child

the election is over u lost

ur sobs and whines r like a symphony

Trump knows he's in trouble. He knows the walls are closing in.

NONE of the Arizona top leadership is at his rally. Not the Governor or the two US senators .. ALL REPUBLICANS .. nor the Mayor of Phoenix, the largest city in Arizona.

He's at war with everybody, even the REPUBLICAN Senate leader .. who angered Trump because McConnell "wouldn't protect him from the Russian investigations."

His response to his ignorance of Charlottesville was to bring his black prop, Ben Carson to his rally .. then launch into a mindless rant with him reading his own script. :0) AND, he lied about his own words .. leaving out "on many sides. on many sides."

WOW .. we have a immature child-man as president.

WWE WWE WWE :0)

So why did Obama have them all 8 years ?

So why did Obama have them all 8 years ?

Where's the problem?

He didn't hold a campaign rally one month after he was elected, then another 6 months later .. AND, he held lots of press conferences. Something Trump does not.

By comparison, Obama didn’t make his re-election bid official until April 2011.

Holy Geebus, hypocrites. Obama was holding rallies in his first year as Pres too...

Here's one six months into his "presidency":

Here's one in February of 2009 less than one month after his inauguration:

Another one in September:

He never stopped.

And no. They were not always faked staged "town halls" with dialogue with those few selected "people"...

He's campaigning for someone else in the 1st. He's campaigning for Obamacare - at a town hall - in the 2nd.

I'm not sure how you guys miss the distinctions there.

LOL. And yet, the third.. That one was what? Oh yeah, a speech with a crowd and no town hall... Seriously, he held a staged town hall and you pretend that this is some imaginary "huge" distinction? The man never stopped campaigning.

Shoot, sometimes he would make a speech just so he could call it a working trip after he hit the links. Saved him some money.

lol

What a fucking moron.

The first was to campaign for another candidate.
The second was to promote the stimulus package.
The third was to promote health care reform.

Not campaign events for him at all.

Desperate twatwattle.

All were campaign events for him, especially the last one. (Well, the first was to help somebody get money, but the speech was about what he wanted to do). His "singular most important" legislation? Geebus, y'all are desperate. Promoting your programs is campaigning. Truly, this is probably the worst "answer" to that I have ever seen.

I realize that stumping to promote legislation is a foreign concept to Orangetweet because he would actually have to understand the legislation in the first place. For you to equate the orange clowns self aggrandizing rallies to the ones you cited is a massive, desperate stretch.

Keep flailing. It's amusing to watch some drown in their own fantasies.

I didn't read the 3rd one - too long; I just skimmed it a few times. It doesn't mention the reason for the rally.

Regardless, nothing like Trump's safe space/grievance airing ego-fests. Please. No comparison whatsoever.

So, your whole argument is that campaigning for something you personally like makes it "better" than campaigning for something you don't like and therein lies the difference. One should have continued to constantly campaign while the other should "shut up" because you don't like what he has to say. It's a weak argument at best, deliberately self-delusional at worst.

The reality is, both of the last two Presidents held rallies in their first year, and it is a truly weak argument to say this one shouldn't because the last one's rallies were "better". Seriously, this whole thread is a bag of hypocrisy you've put over your own head.

I'm kind of surprised to see you make excuses for him, Damo.

Last night was an unambiguous national embarrassment.

Well, that speech sucked, that is truth. Unlike the one earlier at the base, that one was pretty good.

Pointing out that both of these Presidents held rallies is like saying the temperature hit 88 degrees in Denver today. It simply is. It isn't an "excuse" that's pretty much equally as weak as pretending that because the speeches were "better" because you liked the topics, or the "town halls" were staged better then they weren't rallies. That Trump took a page from Obama and continues to make speeches after he's elected isn't all that surprising to me. I suspect we'll see pretty much all Presidents do this more often than they used to in the future.

Competent Presidents stump for the legislation they are trying to get passed. They take that message to the people. That's in contrast to the feckless and incompetent Orangetweet who stood by and did nothing to promote his repeal and replace bullshit. He holds his rallies, not to address policy issues, but to attack the media or any other party he fantasizes as a threat. Why? Because he hasn't a goddam clue about any policy. That even includes his TelePrompTer speech where he avoided any detail.

You're transparently desperate, pally. It's enjoyable to watch.

I'm okay conceding the VERY general point you're trying to make. It is not without merit.

But really, we haven't seen anything like last night.

As I said. It's all good if you like what was said. It's simple hypocrisy. I'm good with that, you be you. I'll tell you that pretty much any speech Obama made was better delivered than even a good speech by Trump. But that doesn't change that the reality is, you are hassling somebody for doing what a President you liked also has done and that, sir, is hypocrisy.

Sheer desperation. I see Stretch likes your post. Stretch is an appropriate description of your lame attempt at equivalency.

Yes, I see you fall into the rinse and repeat category of argument. You believe that if you repeat it often enough people will agree with you more. The reality is, a rally is a rally. Even if you think one of them had "better" rallies, they are what they are and you are very likely to see this more often in the future because it was a successful strategy. I'd say Trump would get better at it, but I don't believe he will. His speeches will pretty much always be a bit sad, IMO, but it really isn't any different other than in what you "believe" is "quality"... Better spiced BS still tastes like poop even if you garnish it.
