The point is combat operations will continue as before, they will just be labeled as something different (no secret wars, no clandestine operations, just different labels) and you will accept those labels because you will not bring yourself to question your hero and savior.

But I will NOT accept the stationing of combat troops or the use of combat operations under different labels because I spent too many fucking years getting shot at (and shot) and having friends, buddies, and troopers placed under my command killed or maimed under those same alternate labels.

You fall for it if you want (which you obviously do). Don't expect thinking people to follow your idiocy.

Well, you completely ignored Cypress' post showing you the exact words from the campaign, where Obama basically said he'd leave a residual force.

I certainly never thought we'd get out of there without leaving a residual force. I didn't think that if Bush had been able to end combat ops, and I never thought it would be the case with Obama. Did you?

As for "hero & savior," in the past few weeks, I have called Obama's interjection into the mosque situation deplorable, expressed disdain for his attitude toward privatizing social security, criticized his lack of leadership on the economy and been generally dismayed by his failure to take bold action on that front.

The agreement was made November 16th, 2008.....

So Obama was just fulfilling the agreement made by Bush....no matter how you spin it...

The CLAIM is that ALL combat troops have been withdrawn, and "only" 52,000 NON-combat troops being left in place as military "advisers". It's a lie. Striker units are COMBAT units. They conduct COMBAT operations. And there are a whole bunch of them left in Iraq.

I have heard and fought under those same words. They are a fucking lie. You accept the lies and even defend them. You fucking BET I am full of hate for those words. Thousands of soldiers DIED for those words in a bullshit war. I have a stainless steel and plastic hip because of those words. Many more will die in Iraq under those words over aan exended period of time, and all we get from idiots like you is "thank goodness it's finally over..." No use protesting against a war that is "over" is there? Like I said, they handed you a line of shit and you ate it like candy.
