Bump stocks are modifications to the stock of an AR-15 that allows the shooter to use the recoil of the gun to pull the trigger. The finger must still be on the trigger. I have never used one before so I can’t speak to how much it really increases the number of shots fired. I know I can rip off a 30 round magazine pretty quickly with just my index finger.
Something else to consider for our less informed Ammophobes and that is physics. The faster the rate of fire the higher likelihood of misfires. Also you can overheat the barrel.
Now I realize that those things don’t matter to Ammophobes but they are important.
If it will make the Ammophobes feel better we can ban bump stocks.
