The people were old but “mostly healthy … prior to their illness” albeit having age issues including heart issues. Anyone who says "then COVID didn't matter" is fooling only themselves. Five years from now I think most of us will look back and see who was deluding themselves and those who were right to be concerned about this....not to mention how a national health crisis was politicized to the point it was killing Americans.
