3/4 of Covid Recovered Patients have Heart Problems

You're welcome;) Why would you comment on who or who I do not get along with here, in your humble opinion? Nothing to do with what we're discussing;)

Why not? Are you going to report me for derailing the thread, dear, and making it all about you again?

I definitely agree on opening children's minds. This is one reason why I think teaching Critical Thinking should be the priority above all other skills and subjects. Teach them "how" to learn, "how" to think and then let them learn and think what they decide is best. Obviously basic subjects like readin', 'ritin' and 'rithmatic should still be taught, but Critical Thinking should be part of every class.
ya. they teach to take the test much more then teach problem solving.

Is that a Covid thing? My dentist finally called me for the cleaning I was scheduled for in April.

I had a cleaning last week. Lots of extra precautions including no ultrasonic tools because it atomizes plaque into the air. Only older tech tools were used. The tech apologized a few times for it but I said "No problem. I'm old school anyway. Scrape away!"

....EDIT: One of my more radical ideas is that the mistakes the Enlightenment made which might have turned catastrophic were birthed by a failure to pay proper attention to the wisdom of women, and that they should have known better.
I didn't address this point earlier because I hate making posts too long. That is, indeed, a Western attitude but it started long before the Age of Enlightenment (17th-18th centuries). One example is how women were denigrated and considered second class citizens in how the Bible was put together in the centuries leading up to the Council of Nicaea. Another is Pope Gregory I lying by conflating the story of the prostitute Jesus saved from stoning with the person who was probably Christ's best apostle: Mary Magdalene. Because of these events and twisting of history, Western men saw women as less than men, less than full citizens. It's why women weren't even allowed to vote when the Constitution was created.

I pick at my teeth with those plastic toothpicks with the little brush. I floss in the morning.

My hygienist always comments that there's very little to clean. I hate the pain when they really have to go at caked on crud. It's been years since I worried about that.

Alan Watts used to say that the Church and the West pumped up the masculine and under appreciated the feminine, that we were out of balance, and that this cant help but to end badly. He was very critical of the refusal to reform, saying at one point that the best thing that could happen to the Bible is to go away for 1000 years or something like that. We men of Zen who follow the TAO believe in balance and the middle way of course, we are always seeking the balance that the moment requires and mining the tension of the apposing forces and ideas for clarity and quality (its hard to explain this in just a few words, this is the best I can do today).

I take your point.

Agreed on encourage and education. Why do you think children aren't being taught about the Constitution and the law? Saying "bad behavior and bad work" is a bit vague. Carrie Nation thought drinking was "bad", but I think it's "bad" when done to excess, done to harm others or done illegally.

Teaching how to think for oneself and how to see is what education systems are for.

We dont do that anymore, from Pre-K all the way up to Post Doc.

They do indoctrination now, they are Mind Molders.

They work to cage souls now.

Alan Watts was a wise man in his observations.

Ummm, isn't that the way it's always been? The teachers of the tribe teaching the children the ways of the tribe?

What teachings, specifically, are you against?

Teachers once thought their job was training the unformed into fully functional adults, now they see their job as minting conformist ideologues ....so no.
