2012 Predictions...

From Wikipedia:

The Bush Doctrine is a phrase used to describe various related foreign policy principles of former United States president George W. Bush. The phrase was first used by Charles Krauthammer in June 2001 [1] to describe the Bush Administration's unilateral withdrawals from the ABM treaty and the Kyoto Protocol. The phrase initially described the policy that the United States had the right to secure itself against countries that harbor or give aid to terrorist groups, which was used to justify the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan.[2]

Different pundits would attribute different meanings to "the Bush Doctrine", as it came to describe other elements, including the controversial policy of preventive war, which held that the United States should depose foreign regimes that represented a potential or perceived threat to the security of the United States, even if that threat was not immediate; a policy of spreading democracy around the world, especially in the Middle East, as a strategy for combating terrorism; and a willingness to unilaterally pursue U.S. military interests.[3][4][5] Some of these policies were codified in a National Security Council text entitled the National Security Strategy of the United States published on September 20, 2002.[6]

I don't know if you are intelligent enough to understand Wikipedia, but it seems relatively clear to me, there are a variety of policies which can be called "The Bush Doctrine" and there really isn't a single definitive "Bush Doctrine." In fact, the Bush Administration seldom, if ever, used this term. So the question Gibson asked was unanswerable. It would be like asking; Do you agree with Supreme Court rulings? Well??? What is your answer to that, christie? DO YOU or DON'T YOU? Come on now... time to "think on your feet" and show us something!

And I don't really give a flying fuck what you think! It's Gibson's job as the interviewer, to ask credible questions that can be answered, it's not up to the interviewee to clarify the questions or presume to know what the fuck he's talking about!

:good4u: nailed it.................................again :)

Nailed what?

Just to reiterate, she followed up by asking Gibson if he meant Bush's "world view."

She had never even heard "Bush Doctrine," much less understood the "3 aspects" of it.

The spin is incredible.

Always. And they think we consider Obama the "Messiah"? I guess Palin is the Virgin Mary, Mother Teresa and Joan of Arc all wrapped up into one package.

Geez, Dix, why don't you ask charlie krauthammer? He's the conservative who coined the phrase in the first place. Furthermore, your own article states that cheney used the term in 2003: The expression was used at least once, though by Vice President Dick Cheney, in a June 2003 speech in which he said, "If there is anyone in the world today who doubts the seriousness of the Bush Doctrine, I would urge that person to consider the fate of the Taliban in Afghanistan, and of Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq." This, then, is the definition that the whole U.S. minus Sarah Palin understands. It's probably the definition you knew yourself, before you decided to get all huffy because your heroine was being criticized.

And I don't really give a flying fuck what you think! It's Gibson's job as the interviewer, to ask credible questions that can be answered, it's not up to the interviewee to clarify the questions or presume to know what the fuck he's talking about!

And if you had one iota of honesty in you, you'd admit that nobody could question her to your satisfaction... unless it was Thomas Sowell, or ann coulter, or glenn beck, or Bill O'Reilly, or one of the dozens of conservative hacks that you love so dearly. This guy says it best of all.

"Last night the governor of Alaska sounded less like the Palin-ator (an implacable political force sent to save the Republican Party) than a robot struggling to handle inputs for which it was not programmed. And that illustrates a critical aspect of the "experience" issue—being prepared to assume the presidency involves in part thinking through how to be president in a manner the goes beyond crammed talking points.

It's the difference between teaching students to learn by rote—"teaching to the test"—and teaching them how to think through problems. You can try (clumsily) to bend talking points to face Charlie Gibson, but you're not going to be able to do so to face the real crises of the presidency."

Palin is NOT. PRESIDENTIAL. MATERIAL.

I have to agree with Christie, she bailed when things got too "tough" in Alaska and that was nothing compared to the world stage she will have to play. She's a fool is she think she can handle the pressure and so are the people who support her.

It is just plain SILLY to presume she had never heard of the Bush Doctrine... now, really... are you THAT fucking retarded? You honestly believe that Sara Palin had NEVER HEARD OF the Bush Doctrine????

As the Wikipedia points out, the TERM "Bush Doctrine" was used to describe a VARIETY OF THINGS! Did you get that, you incompetent moron? A VARIETY... as in, MORE THAN ONE THING! So, what the FUCK did Charlie mean??? He never clarified it! You still haven't clarified it! "Bush Doctrine" can mean any number of things, and Palin attempted to get some sort of understanding of what the hell the goofball liberal was asking her.... we still, to this fucking day, do not KNOW what that was!

I have never in my life, seen a group of incompetent nitwits, so immersed in their own stupidity, two fucking years down the goddamn road... STILL acting like total and absolute RETARDS! It's got to be unprecedented!

Always. And they think we consider Obama the "Messiah"? I guess Palin is the Virgin Mary, Mother Teresa and Joan of Arc all wrapped up into one package.

Hardly ..the issue here is the relentless attacks on her by a bunch of old hag bra burners from the 60's and a press who is still carrying water for Obama. As I said before.. I am perfectly comfortable with her in the role she is presently i. Also, I half to mention ...with you and Rana going on and on about her stepping down as Gov of Alaska ...gimmie an effin break with this nonsense. Considering your "Messiah" ..and that he is.. graduated from Community Organizer to Prez of the USA in a matter of how many years? Its Nice when you have the Euro Bucks of George Soros backing you ...

Something really bugs the hell out of you about a Daughter of Teachers who graduated from University of Idaho.. it just doesnt measure up to those elitist Ivy League Socialists ... who specialize in telling me what I should eat, what I should drive and how I should speak.

Sarah is mildly attractive for an OAP. I like them dumb and pliable myself.

Her eyesight is unusually good since she can reportedly see Russia from her home.

I find it a bit two-faced to criticize "relentless attacks" (your words, not mine) on Palin, given the never-ending conservative attacks on Obama. How about giving a reason why Palin should be given a pass? And with all due respect, calling her critics a "bunch of old hag bra burners from the 60s" reflects your own prejudices, given that the majority of Americans and republicans don't think she's qualified to be president.

As I said before.. I am perfectly comfortable with her in the role she is presently in.

I'm perfectly comfortable with her current role also. But she chose to take a job that gave her national recognition and that doesn't make her exempt from the public's comments, whether good or bad.

Also, I half to mention ...with you and Rana going on and on about her stepping down as Gov of Alaska ...gimmie an effin break with this nonsense.

She's the former governor of Rana's state so of course I give Rana's comments credibility. She's seen it all from the inside as opposed to the rest of us.

Considering your "Messiah" ..and that he is.. graduated from Community Organizer to Prez of the USA in a matter of how many years?

LOL. Only rabid righties could turn the word "Messiah" into a pejorative. Doesn't say much for that Christian image they try so hard to cultivate. You need to stop with all the RW propaganda sites. The community organizer gig happened after Obama spent four years working in NYC, and before he graduated from Harvard Law School, worked as a civil rights lawyer, taught constitutional law, served three terms in the state senate and one in the US Senate.

As opposed to Palin attending five colleges in five years, working as a sports reporter, becoming a city council member and mayor of a town that's a lot smaller than many U.S. corporations, and governor of a state with fewer citizens than Wal-Mart has employees.

Liberals don't see Obama as a Messiah. Liberals have criticized Obama more in the last 20 months than conservatives criticized bush in eight years.

Its Nice when you have the Euro Bucks of George Soros backing you ...

Just as nice as having the bucks of the Koch brothers, the Scaife foundation, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Exxon Mobil etc. etc. backing the repubs.

Something really bugs the hell out of you about a Daughter of Teachers who graduated from University of Idaho.. it just doesnt measure up to those elitist Ivy League Socialists ... who specialize in telling me what I should eat, what I should drive and how I should speak.

What bugs the hell out of me: birthers, Islamophobes, Christian fundamentalists who try to push their beliefs on others, conspiracy theorists, and just plain ignorant people who don't give a crap for researching positions and just spout off the latest talking points that supposedly bolster their views. IMO Palin fits nicely into this picture.
