195 Countries Sign On To Climate Change Directives

I bet only the US and EU follow the rules. The rest will cheat and go about producing cheap energy and just fudge the numbers as always.

This is the most fantastic thing I've heard in decades!!!!!!!! These accords will transform economies worldwide and redefine how we ALL view power production. We've known full well how these matters needed to be addressed for decades.

And it's a good thing that China agreed to MAX OUT their use of coal plants by 2035.

I heard some libtard(s) say that something has to be done like, YESTERDAY in order for the world to have just a slight chance to continue existing.

You are a fool if you think you can power a city like New York completely with wind and solar. Do you realize how much land it would take?

I know how much it would take with wind.

If you take an area such as the L.A. metro area and all the urban sprawl, you'd need a little over three square miles of wind farms for about every 1/4 mile of urbanized area.

And it has to be in a windy area and that doesn't include storage facilities.

All they agreed to do is submit a plan. In the case of us and eu they already have one.
And if they dont submit a plan ? They get a sharply worded tweet.

The Paris meeting was a joke. Nothing binding. No penalties and countries can produce as much carbon as they want. Just another liberal circle jerk

Having been in the power generation fields and environmentally concerned for most of my life I somehow do not feel challenged by you or anyone else that might want to bullshit like you have so far in this conversation, Borbo. Blessed be your thoughts.
I don't see you doing anything except spouting vague generalities, I have a huge number of threads dedicated to AGW and warming alarmists. I suggest you search for them first. Try searching for falsifiability for starters.

We've known full well how these matters needed to be addressed for decades. At least now we have some concrete plans for how the entire world will approach these matters within the next few decades. But,,,,,,,,,,I expect the deniers to whine and continue to deny anyway. Do you really need just a little more light on the subjects? IT'S ON THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are no deniars you ignorant retard; but there are a LOT who know the earth's climate has been warming long before man ever walked the planet.....but very old news like that is NEW to leftist morons with their heads up each others asses.

Do any of the clueless AGW morons know how much energy it takes to make a battery; and how toxic used batteries are?

Good grief; we are surrounded by morons!

I think that all forms of energy should be used to power the country. Having a combination of oil, gas, coal, nuclear , solar, wind, and water is more sustainable and efficient than trying to eliminate forms of energy in favor of one or two types. There are huge wind farms across Texas including near my university and it seems like they are constantly adding more but obviously oil and gas are still huge here too and so it is possible to make it all work together I think.

You think well Norah.

nuclear isn't very cost effective either without subsidies. But it is an alternative that is more promising for providing electricity than wind and solar, that is for sure. It is just not as cost effective as oil and coal

How many subsidies do you think fossil fuels get?

Commendable common sense.

Most reasonable understand that diversifying energy is the way to go.
