Agreed. It's common sense. The only reason it's political is because the Conspiracy Theorist-in-Chief is delusional and thought masks were a conspiracy to make him lose the election.

This little plague circle is going to spread as fast as cheap liquor and VD at an underage-drinking party. Stretch already posted a list of 18 Republican Senators in quarantine. Given the contagiousness of COVID-19, I doubt they'll be the only ones.
Since many are older or have health issues, that could have history-making changes on both the SCOTUS confirmation, who is President on November 2nd and all national elections. Yes, Democrats will be affected too, but since they were more careful about precautions, I doubt the impact will be as severe. The direction will be clearer for Trump by next weekend and a week after that for the Election.
BTW, a security perimeter is drawn around WR. I guess Trump doesn't want to be seen being hauled onto Marine One in a wheelchair and with an IV and O2 bottle attached.

Unknown at this point but since they refuse to say when he last tested negative, I'm guessing it's a lot of people. I'm certain they're being contacted. Anyone who was within 6 feet of Trump since a week ago Saturday should self-quarantine and get tested. Send the bill to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Looks like their advice is "Don't be in a room (poorly ventilated and enclosed spaces) with someone infected by COVID-19." At least that explains why most of Trump's staff are posting positive.
Also, there's this: "“CDC’s recommendations remain the same based on existing science and after a thorough technical review of the guidance,” the agency said. “People can protect themselves from the virus that causes COVID-19 by staying at least 6 feet away from others, wearing a mask that covers their nose and mouth, washing their hands frequently, cleaning touched surfaces often and staying home when sick.”"
It all looks like common sense to me.

A well ventilated space will just move more air around.
It's kinda like wearing a flak vest in combat; it's not bullet proof from a direct hit, but it's better than nothing.

True. Air movement in a space (unless the diffusers are the high velocity type) is less likely to move droplets from one person to another. If this is airborne it will not matter how clean the air is coming in. It is just going to spread it. No air movement would reduce that.
It depends on the ventilation. Try burning some toast and see how quickly the ventilation system clears that smoke. Good ventilation will clear the air within a few minutes.
