I was bullied during my elementary school years, but then in Jr High, I had a "Christmas Story/Scott Farkus" moment where a bully was picking on me and I snapped and began bashing his head into the sidewalk repeatedly...nobody ever bothered me after that.

Doing that is pretty much the number one way to get bullies to stop f'ing with you.

Bullied big time. I grew up in a poor neighborhood a couple houses away on each side of families with 6 boys each. 10 of the 12 were older than me. One family had a bunch of boxers and one had a bunch of kids winding up in juvy.

This explains a great deal, I will stop bullying you on this forum.

I was "small" when I entered High School (under 5 foot and probably weighed in around 125 lbs).
I stayed the same throughout High School and was pushed around by the School's "in crowd"; because we were pretty poor.
The worst offender was the son of the Chief of Police.
I had several teachers try and tell me to just knock the shit out of him; but I was raised non-violent.
My Senior year, we had a new kid move to town and this kid was a bruiser. No one messed with him. One day, during some class, he had a epileptic seizure and fell over, pulling his desk over with him.
I was sitting right next to him and I was the only one to pull the desk off of the top of him, so he wouldn't hurt himself with it.
He stopped in about a minute and the teacher took him to the nurse.
Kids being kids started making jokes about it; but I just sat there, kind of in shock.

I was walking home and he approached me. I was scared shitless. He asked if I was the one who took the desk off of him and I squeaked out a yes. He said thanks and left.
Now, I used to hate walking home; because the "in crowd" had cars and insults and comments would be yelled, as they passed by.
I started noticing that the guy started walking in the same general direction that I did; but not with me and I found out that he lived about a mile from me.

We never became friends; but I noticed that the "in crowd" decided to find other targets to harass.
To this day, I don't know if he had something to do with it or not.

Side note:
After High School, I moved to AZ.
Couldn't find work and ended up going to the Job Corps.
In my first year there, I had a growth spurt and jumped up to 6 foot tall and went to 185 lbs of muscle.

Since then, I have never picked on anyone smaller then me and I have used my size to try and stop people from bullying others.
I became the "diplomat" in arguments.
Plus I found out how to use "words" to use peoples intended insults to back fire on them.
For exaample:
Drunk guy - "OH, so your're a nigger lover; HUH!!"
Me - "I haven't known you long enough to like you, let alone love you"
Drunk guy - "HUH??" (with puzzled look on face, while brain try's to figure things out)

I've been told that I am "intimidating" and to me, that's a good thing; because maybe, just maybe, it will allow someone to rethink their position, instead of attempting their first impulse.

Is there a difference between bully, and random kid that gives you shit some random times?

When I was in 4th grade, there was a kid that was kind of a dick to me. But he wasn't like a popular jock bully. Instead, no one liked him, everyone thought he was an annoying asshole. So I never really felt bad about things or tortured, as I found solace that no one liked this kid anyway. And it was just juvenile stuff like him giving me dead arms, or when the teacher wasn't looking, knocking shit off my desk, things like that.

But the really interesting thing is, is that one of his friends, I was very good friends with. And I was on good terms with his other friend. (the kid only had two friends). So i dont know, maybe he didn't like me being friends with his only friends or something O_o haha.

Annnyway I remember this day vividly, cause it was so weird. (in 4th grade terms). Our two mutual friends both ended up being sick at the same time. So now this kid is totally isolated. Guess who he wanted to pair up with during classwork? me. Who he sat near at lunchtime? Me. When we went to recess, I remember heading off somewhere, and he goes, "Grind, over here," waving me over to whatever he wanted me to do. And I remember having a moment of clarity that to this day I still remember when I was thinking "-_- wtf this kid is being nice to me and we are basically on good terms" So we ended up just hanging out that whole day. He wasn't an asshole, he was normal, and we got along very well. It was really weird, that one day just existed in some weird 4th grade vacuum.

That ONE single day, we were friends.

After that, he went back to being an asshole to me.

(as an epilouge: ... I do think things chilled out a bit after that, and I don't remeber too many specific events from him "bullying," all I remember today is that I didn't like him and he was an asshole).

I was usually the diplomat, but still got pushed around a bit in Jr. High. Shittiest three years of my pre-adult life...

Wow, middle school was one of the best times of my life. I know that differs from most people, and shows how weird I am...

why are you calling it middle school O_O. that's an east coast thing. Seattle has Jr. high O_o

threedee are you secretly from the east coast?

middle sucked balls. That's when I moved back from seattle. Fucked all my shit up. And my first year I was in a real shitbox school while they were building our new ballin ass highschool. It looked like a prison. I hated all my teachers, I hated my classes, I was behind in everything because the way they had classes structured out in Seattle was different than in mass. Not to mention I moved in the middle of the year, so there were all these big projects I had to jump into. God, middle school fucking was awful.

jr high in seattle wasn't that bad though.

Jr. High is 7-9. Middle schools like mine are 7-8, while the rest are 6-8. Trust me, Grind, we have plenty MS out here. JH is actually dying out everywhere.

I am sorry, I have apologized to my siblings for being a bully, besides, they all got bigger than myself eventually. My brothers are 6'2 and 6'9. My younger sisters are 5'6 and 5'10. I am 5'4 on a good day.

same thing with my brothers and i, they stopped short of 6' and i went on to 6' 2", eventually we reconciled and become friends

which is a good thing since i lost one in 1967 and the other this year

I feel so bad. I still have all my siblings and parents. Dad turned 92 on the 1st. I am very fortunate.
