This is the way I understand it. They were talking in the context of economics and Ann Romney doesn't have any idea what the "average" women may deal with as far as the econonmy goes. Mitt said he confers with her and it went from there. She may know what it is like to raise five boys, but did she ever have to tell them, no, because they couldn't afford it? I don't think so.
Exactly. Like you and I can speak from the same context as middle-class Americans whereas AR has only the context of high income, whether in her own family or her husband's. Sure we can all sit down together with Ann and commiserate about the homework wars or the terrible twos but as far as money goes, forget it.
And before the RWs jump all over me, I don't know a whole lot about AR except what's been in the news lately. She seems like a nice woman who's had her share of trials (breast cancer, MS). But she's not like the average woman with a health condition who works, raises children, keeps up a house and schedules her radiation treatments for Friday so she has the weekend to recover from them.
