Here you have a guy that supposedly got his nose broken, knocked to the floor, had his head banged off the cement repeatedly, later receiving numerous blows to the head. Then Trayvon reached for zimmerman's gun(even though he is winning the fight). zimmerman in his delirious state, somehow realizes that Trayvon is reaching for his gun(throw all the punches in the head he is receiving), and beats him to it. There is a struggle for possession of the gun and zimmerman in his delirious state is able to win the battle and shoot the guy?

I read about an open heart surgery and watched a documentary on how one is done; but I don't think that makes me qualified to perform one.

This appears to be a life and/or death situation and then next time you're in one, let us know.
Until then; you might want to talk to some people who have been in them and survived.

Its called adrenalin. I'm sure once the fight started the adrenalin kicked in! Especially after supposedly getting clocked in the nose, but a few smashes bouncing your head off the pavement, would cut that adrenalin quick!
