First of all, the fact that the murderer is a foriegn invader makes it far easier to get people to riot. The fact that we have been an occupying force for 10 years has something to do with it too.

Also, when the Taliban kills they have a reason. That reason may be lunacy and complete bullshit, but to the people it is still a reason. The soldier had no reason to slaughter 16 people.
