Tebow and the Left's Religious Bigotry

Its alright, I know you're an old phart. Seriously, though, you rant about the Browns so much I though you were a Browns fan. That's cool, though, because the Bengals seems to be growing and getting pretty good right now. They led a very tough division for more than half of the season.
I think you're confusing me with someone else. I've never ranted about the Browns. I've always joked that I'm not a Professional football fan....I'm a Bengals fan. :)

You call it "razzing". I don't think you or your lefty pals would call it "razzing" if people were mocking a muslim player and making fun of Mohammed. Muslims are a protected class to the left. Christian traditional culture and Americanism is the enemy.
Dude...seek help....there are no Muslims hiding under your bed.

You know I'm right.
Dude, you're an extremist, who is a border line deranged fool. One has the right to worship God in any way they see fit in this country or not at all and the fact that rational people would protect those rights, whom are fore fathers faught and died to protect, from extremist fanatics like you who would deny our fellow Americans those same rights is neither protected status nor anti-Christian.

In fact I find your brand of intolerant bigotry to be grossly un-Christian and completely un-American.

Is that why mocking and criticizing Islam is considered bigotry, but mocking and criticizing Christianity isn't?

I find the left to be very hypocritical when it comes to religious freedom and rights.

Why don't you razz a muslim player and make fun of Mohammed. Anybody else think these same bigots would make fun of a Muslim player and Mohammed? Not a chance.

Point me in the direction of any Muslim NFL player who faces East, drops to his knees and starts ululating after a TD and I will.

When was the last time you saw a Muslim in the NFL do anything after scoring a TD to call attention to their relationship with Allah?

Were any rules of the game broken by Tim Tebow?

Absolutely. Well-said.

To be fair, I think people really misinterpret that - not just from Tebow, but from other athletes. They're not implying that God has a rooting interest or favors any individual or team over another. He's really just thanking God for giving him the confidence/belief in himself & the opportunities to compete well.

Is this what he has stated, or is this What you presume. Damo has made the same statement about him. Has he clarified what it is he prays for. The pastor of his church believes God is helping him win games. I am with poet on this. I would hope God had better things to do.

Bullshit.

Exhibit A - Me. Absolutely would not be such a big Tebow fan if I hadn't heard nonstop, hysterical vitriol thrown at Tim Tebow for the past three or four years, interrupted periodically by a fanboy cheering him on, or a sportscaster reporting just the facts.

First, Tebow doesn't drop to his knee for a TD. He touches his chest and points to the sky. It's no more "in your face" than the stupid discount double-check "championship belt" idiocy you get from Rodgers, or the even more "me me" displays by others.

At the end of the game he takes some time to reflect and thank his God for the opportunity to play at that level. That the cameras focus on him means nothing more than the cameras focus on him.

He's a relatively quiet leader who has brought a belief that they can win to a team who was on the ropes before he took the reigns. It's going to be fun to watch and see how he shapes up. He'll get better, and his stats compared to the top QBs in their first 10 games is astounding. All of them had games where they stank up the field...

Basically...

Who does this man worship?

Both of them have a "thing" to do after a TD, neither of them is breaking any rules.

Tebow was miked up for a game and was singing religious songs and brushing off guys interfering with his Jesus freaking.

. Both are making a show, Tewbow is just making a show of something I consider sacred.
