Gingrich gets important endorsement.

So you don't think Damn Yankee is white? LOL.

You said Germans. Germans are white, you racist fool. Why do you have to bring race into everything? Only a racist would say that white Germans are more intelligent than Black people. You heard it here first......Dune thinks Gingrich is more intelligent that Obama because Gingrich is a white German.

I didn't realize that Tom was so sensitive. I like to dig on friends. If you don't want me to just ask, don't get all bent and cry publicly.

As for the "story from Forbes"... Yeah, old stuff is old, wrong stuff is wrong.

Newt speaks about seeking forgiveness from God for his past... The evangelicals will eat that up, and nobody else is going to care.

He is actually quite intelligent but he likes to disguise it behind a good 'ol boy persona. It's ironic really as he wasn't even born in the South, he is a born again redneck.
I appreciate this compliment greatly Tom. My Southern friends think I'm more Southern then most Southerners. Regards to "rednecks", the reddest that I have met were in northern New York State.

I am not sure what you consider to be old? That Forbes story was published on the 16th of this month. Is the GOP cupboard so bare that you have to get behind known sleazeballs and crooks? I don't really understand what is wrong with Romney, he is playing the right strategy, as far as I can see, allowing all the other candidates to crash and burn before he even gets going. I think he is the only one that the Dems fear.

Dumb ass Brit. If it wasn't for the USA you'd be speaking German and bending over for Nazi faggots on Saturday night.

The events in the "story" are from 1979 or 1980... whether it is pulled out the dustbin and republished now or not, that is old stuff. And it has been thoroughly wasted by reality.

If the Democrat "cupboard" is so bare it needs to pull up the 70s to find "bad" about Newt, and the "bad" isn't even close to the reality as written by his family...

Your stories are always so far past it's incredible... Nobody posts more incorrect stuff than Tom...

I bet Chelsey Clinton can tell some great stories about her parents during the Lewinsky saga as well. The fact of the matter is, according to Newt's second wife, he was screwing her while he was still married to his first wife. All you conservatives nearly burst veins about Clinton's affairs, but now, what you want us to do is focus on the fact that she didn't die, which most of us knew, and that SHE asked for the divorce. What you don't want us to do is focus on the fact that Newt Gingrich is far more morally and ethically flawed than Bill Clinton. Hell, Bill is still married to his first wife.

I wish I had a dollar for every prat that has said that, as I said here many times we saved your arses.

Interesting. Since the USA funded Britain and the Soviet Union to help win WWII, please explain how the Brits saves our arses. This is going to be fun.

Newt didn't serve divorce papers on his dying wife, he merely sought to negotiate the terms of their divorce while she was in the hospital recovering from her third surgery for uterine cancer. Hell of a guy, that Newt Gingrich.

By the way, does anyone else find the "it's ancient history" line a bit too much to bear coming from the same people that are upset that they don't know what grades Obama got in college?

On the topic of this thread, Newt Gingrich won't win New Hampshire.

Again, Newt speaks on seeking forgiveness from God for his past. Evangelicals understand and eat up that kind of "Grace"...

I'm telling you, you are wrong about all of this, from "hypocrisy" to how the Evangelicals will react to Newt's past, as well as repeating old stories that have been refuted.

You can get all "angry faced" and upset over "hypocrisy" but the reality is, there is none. The kind of "grace" that Newt speaks of will resonate with Evangelicals, and nobody else cares about the relationships. Only the left thinks the Evangelicals seek perfection. If Clinton spoke of God's forgiveness and how he sought it through "grace" he'd have been golden with Evangelicals too...

We're electing a President, not a saint. School grades are important. The details of a divorce 30 years ago aren't. Just for the record, here is the truth. She never had cancer. She had a benign tumor.

Fuck me rigid, nobody exaggerates as much as you do. There are some bona fide nutters on this site and for you to single me out is just incredible, you have even given succour to ID, who is as close to unhinged as you're likely to get anywhere.

Holy shit, there is so much about Gingrich that is wrong, it is difficult to know where to start. I am very happy for the reptile, yes I know that newts are not reptiles, to run as he will be destroyed with any luck. Regarding his daughter, her mother has a different side to the hospital events. Obviously you have nailed your colours to the mast and abandoned any attempt at impartiality. His daughter was only thirteen in 1980 and one has to wonder how much she really knew about the events at the time. In the end, it boils down to who you believe. By the way, I am not even pretending to be impartial on this matter. If there is anybody that deserves to be brought down by the media, it is him.

I suppose if that was the only event in his life I guess he could be forgiven. He was accused of using tax-deductible charitable donations to fund a non-charitable college course that he taught, and of giving false information about this to the House Ethics Committee. In a 395-28 vote, the House ordered Gingrich to pay an unprecedented $300,000 penalty as part of a settlement to avoid a full hearing. That in itself ought to be enough to preclude him from high office.[SUP]
