Both are forms of protest. Which has been the more successful? Which has been more violent?
A lot of anarchists have joined the Occupy movement over time, muddling the message. I would guess that there are many in OWS who aren't thrilled w/ that - there are definitely 2 different schools of thought going on now (at least).
I would also say that the TEA movement was more moderate to begin with - much less partisan, and more common sense, but was quickly joined by more extremist elements on the right, as well. That isn't as visible, because the TEA folks don't gather in huge groups for months at a time. Also, anarchists probably have more of a penchant for violent activity by nature.
