It is the English that people in the US and UK tend to use for their bible and it is in English that they prosletyse. Therefore we should, for the purposes of this, take the actual meaning and understanding of the word in English. That means, since the language is ever evolving, that your understanding of the word may differ from the norm. You must take that into account.

Then why don't you let him decide and forget this worthless argument over secular rules? Follow what you believe, as strictly as you want, let them follow what they believe and we're all happy.

So long as they don't force you to follow what they believe everybody should be happy.

Uh, sez who? You????????????? There you go again, speaking for the Lord. Did he die again and made you Savior? I rather think not. God gave me a brain, along with a body. I expect he expects me to take full advantage of both. That you would put all of your eggs in a basket (i.e. The Bible) , knowing the wealth of knowledge that exists, throughout the world, means that you are not only lazy but small-minded and incapable of thinking for yourself. This is not a redo of the Salem Witch Trials, nor is it the Spanish Inquisition, all follies, based on taking the Bible literally. It's clear you are not an intellectual, nor do you present any kind of threat.

I agree.
My belief is that there is a higher power and that someday each of us will be answerable to it.
If I'm wrong, then I've wasted part of my life; but if I'm right, then those who willingly choose not to believe may just be wasted.

You chose your name and I chose mine, and both reflect our God-given personalities. Yours is Low IQ, signifying stupidity and ignorance. Mine signifies that I'm where I choose to be in spite of the opinions of others in my midst. :)
