I know this is a free mason run site and was wondering. And how do Christians feel about their pagan goddess statues and other pagan symbols in America?
The square and compass are pagan symbols ?......get a grip, unwiseone.....99% of Masons are Christians...
you need a boogieman, huh.
For most of US history, we have considered ourselves grounded and educated in the classics and classical history. Most Americans have never seen any harm in celebrating Graeco-Roman culture, or of contemporary (to them) cultures such as Egypt, Carthage, and Persia. Especially since much of it pre-dates Christianity.
Elias? Greek, Jew or both? Do you speak for the Christians also? Do you think they would not see any harm if they knew there were statues of pagan gods on their land?
Because Mason conspiracy bullshit is made up of nothing but strawmen.

Christianity adopted traditions of pagan cultures. This was partialy to ease the transition.
Obelisks are all over the world. There are more in Rome than anywhere. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_obelisks_in_Rome
The question posed was whether or not freemasonry has an influence on government. Strange how that particular question produces waving autumn fields of straw men.
Yes. Freemasonry DOES influence government. It influences government, police, business and more important than all, the judiciary. All you need to do, when faced with a member of any of those organisations is ask the question. Are you a freemason or a member of any other secret organisation? Freemasons are prohibited from denying their membership. They will simply answer indirectly.
You should NEVER accept ANY judge, jury or lawyer who will not state that he is not a member. You should also ask, if a plaintiff or defendant in any case, whether the opposition has affiliations to freemasonry. In most jurisdictions you have a right to apply to be heard by a different court. You must do that.
No freemason will EVER condemn a fellow mason. They say that they act within the law and so they do, but there is a huge difference between acting within the law and and being honest. It's the 'whole truth' they avoid.
Governments all over the world are influenced by freemasonry. Freemasonry in government will always promote the innocence of its members who are very often big business.
The law allows one man to fight another for justice but it does not allow one small man to fight against a large corporation. Freemasons will do anything, literally anything, to prevent an even playing field.
proof?
With the greatest respect, what kind of proof would satisfy you? This is a forum on the internet. You cannot even prove that you are who you say you are.
There is, however, incontavertible evidence. However, your reaction to my post suggests that you would not be prepared to accept any evidence.
If you are not a mason, I suggest you do your own research. If you are then you know I am right.
i am curious how you came to this opinion - you must have done some research or talked to actual masons that influence government
what is the highest level in government that the mason(s) has influenced/is influencing
and yes i am a free mason (since 1967) and while there have been some members of local government in my lodge, there were no state or federal members of government
now at one time free masons exercised quite a bit of influence at all levels of government, but those times have passed - especially after the members of a lodge back east executed a member for revealing secrets of the lodge - subsequent to that action the number of free masons and lodges starting declining and with that their influence declined
