Only white liberals ?...I don't think race is a factor.

You'd really have to ask them that question...I'm sure the reasons are many and varied.....
My guess would be because I'm Conservative and I refuse to be PC just for the sake of being PC ...
I refuse to limit my vocabulary because of race, while others are free to use those same words with impunity...
I tell the truth as I see it and constantly point out the hypocrisy of the left....(that alone don't get you friends)
I don't let obvious lies stand without comment, etc.....

Like I said ... the reasons are many....

Apparently, I seem to be the only vocal black face, 'round here. And I've been nothing but attacked, for my race, my sexual orientation, and my political leanings.
But you, assuming that I'm some idiot, with no political savvy or knowledge, trying to tell me about Rick Perry and his record or position on capital punishment, is like me pointing out the sun, in the noonday sky. Who the fuck are you? Nobody (in my book).
The hypocrisy of the left, is eclipsed by the hypocrisy of the right, who throw tantrums when things don't go their way. Lies? I wouldn't be pointing any fingers, given the track record on "lies", coming from the right. From "no nation building" to WMD. 9/11 happened on whose watch? Own that shit.

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry -- who as Texas governor has overseen the execution of 235 convicted killers -- said Friday that he “respects” the Supreme Court’s decision to halt the execution of Duane Buck, a black man convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend and her male acquaintance in Texas in 1995.

While Buck's lawyers aren't questioning his guilt, they contended his sentence was unfair because of statements made about his race during his trial. His attorneys appealed to both the Supreme Court and Perry to block his impending execution, saying a psychologist testified that black people were more likely to commit violence.
Perry said. "They are taking the appropriate path in my opinion and justice will be served at some point in the future.”

He also defended Texas' appeals process, saying "we have a process of justice in the state of Texas that I have full confidence in."


I can tell you that the "process of justice, in the state of Texas", couldn't be more fucked up and skewed. - poet

there should probably be a federal level investigation conducted on the death penalty practices here in TX. the obstruction of the investigation in to Cameron Todd Willingham and his execution should be looked in to.

Perry didn't hear the evidence or sit in on the trial.....
The appeals courts hears any complaints about the trial and its not the governors place to

George Ryan suspended the death penalty in Illinois back in 2000 and he didn't do everything you wrote above, either.

Ryan had the character to admit that our justice system is so crappy it's a given innocent people will be put to death sooner or later.

The only thing I would recommend is that if you want to murder someone, do it in Illinois and not Texas....
