If Congress really wanted it to pass today, it could be passed today regardless of whether it was scheduled for a vote. The bottom line is that Congress doesn't want to pass it today so any efforts to do so would be futile.
Any Senator could get the bill to the floor, but every Senator would have to agree. If any Senator doesn't want it to get there it would not. Because every Senator does not want the bill to reach the floor today, it wouldn't make it.
If Congress wants to act quickly, it can. If everyone in Congress loved Obama and this bill, it could be on his desk tomorrow.
Again, the only way it hits the floor today is if Harry puts it there. It isn't true that "any Senator" can do that, not without his blessing.
Basically, if they want a vote now, Harry has to do more than just sponsor it, he needs to put it up for a vote or get a lackey to do it. If, say, a republican decided they wanted to vote on a different bill "right now" how successful would they be?
(BTW I'm not surprised that you are apologizing for Obama playing on the ignorance of Americans).

The only chance in hell this thing will pass is if Obama can use the media into bullying congress and scaring the shit out of everybody. There are a lot of top democrats who will not sign on to this bill, even they don't like the tax the rich and spend another half a Trillion dollars scheme that Obama has laid out for them.

Any Senator could conceivably bring the bill to a vote on the floor of the Senate today by unanimous consent, but if any Senator objected he or she would not be successful. If Congress wanted to, the bill could be on Obama's desk tomorrow.
The Patriot Act was introduced on October 23, 2001 and was presented to the President two days later.
And again, the only person that can do that without that "unanimous consent" is Harry. I'll ask again, if a republican wanted to vote on a bill today without Harry's support could they get a bill up to a vote? Be honest.

You're quibbling with my comment that "Congress could pass this bill today if it really wanted to." It could. Obama's demand could easily be met if Congress wanted to notwithstanding that it hasn't been scheduled for a vote. The reality is that it would never happen, but it certainly could.
And a Republican couldn't get anything to the floor today without unanimous consent. Harry's got no more to do with it than any other Senator.

The average unemployment check is 300 dollars a week. I make a lot more than that and I could not pay my bills or enjoy any decent lifestyle on that pittance. Judging by your posts, I would totally believe that you do not make more than this tiny amount.
Conclusion: In your case there appears to be no compelling reason to work. I don't mind your going on unemployment instead of slaving away for such low wages. Feel free.

That sucks, only 300 bucks. I was unemployed a little over a year ago until I bought the equipment and accounts of a defunked business. They had closed the doors because of the economy was so shitty all they did was pay taxes, wages and never made a dime while going in debt.
So now I slave and continue the statis quo. I could've stayed on unemployment and went fishing everyday, but here in NC I was getting the max unemployment and living off of savings.
NC has to be the most small business unfriendly state to be in. These bastards want every little dime you earn. wheather its a privelage tax, state sales county sales tax city sales tax and then they wont even allow you to have enough money to bury your mother when they are done so you have to fire up the pig cooker and start the cremation process all on your own. And that is just the state taxes that gouge you, next you get to deal with the fed.
I thought the new stimulus was supposed to make it easier on small businesses? We can see how that is a big farse.
