How does that salary rank nationally?
Oh yea...it lowered MORE of their pay, cut MORE of their benefits and took away their rights.
Why are you such an ass. You can never make a statement without that right wing ignorant caveat.
yep...that is all that matters to you, party over country, just so long as a D is in office, fuck the country
Why can't you simply discuss the issue without the personal rancor? Is it really necessary? Or can you show a little maturity and cease the personal name calling ect?
The teachers in WI are right about the middle of the national teacher salary scale. Obviously the cost of their insurance was about to make a BIG jump, and now it is not. Does that not speak volumes about what was happening?
And where does WI education rank nationally?
I will make an agreement with you, stop BEING an ass and I will stop calling you one. You right wingers have a Pavlov dog reflex response to cut the legs off of hard working Americans and give the aristocrats a pass.
There is NOTHING happening that is malfeasance or ripping off the taxpayers. If you had the adult curiosity to LOOK INTO WEA Trust instead of parroting every fucking thing the right wing echo chamber TELLS you to think, you'd find out the WEA Trust is a MODEL of what a health care provider should be. Matter of fact, if every American could get insurance from WEA Trust, there would be no health care crisis.
The WEA Trust is a not-for-profit health insurance organization that has the lowest administrative ratio of any Wisconsin insurer. The WEA Trust returns 94% of every premium dollar to members in benefits.
Allegation: Trust insurance is selected through a “no-bid” process.
Both the employer and the union can demand to bargain over changes every two-year bargaining cycle. If WEAC members could obtain comparable coverage for less money, they would readily change plans, especially under the QEO bargaining law, which converts insurance savings into salary increases. They keep Trust plans because they are the best value. WEAC also believes that insurance plans are best determined through local collective bargaining. Rigid state-imposed plans typically lack the flexibility to address local needs and problems.
WEA Trust: Not Your Typical Insurance Company
Funny, the link you gave in post #11 ranked the salary at 28th. Right about the middle.
Pick one and stick with it.
YOu and I have different beliefs on responsibility and fiscal items. YOu claim to be open minded, but anyone who disagrees with you is an ass.
If the previous agreement was so great, why did the recent change result in WEA saying they could NOW match the lowest bid, but before they were going to have a substantial rate increase?
Also, if you consider that most teachers have excellent insurance and benefits packages, the lower salary isn't as low as it seems.
This country is toast... the right wing 'echo chamber' takes this kind of GARBAGE as gospel.
Hey you fucking freak...how big of you to go after teachers whose average salary WAS $46,390...it is now $43,142.70.

TeacherPortal Salary Rank: 28th
Starting Salary: $25,222
Average Salary: $46,390
District Financials
Median Family Income in 2000: $53,051
How about this...fuck kids. They don't need an education. We can just hire any bum off the street to teach and mentor them...to be BUMS
Such a dishonest hack.....
Tell us genius.... why did you post the average salary for a teacher (which is ONE person) and then compare it to Median FAMILY income (which is typically dual income)???
Tell us genius.... how many hours/days per year do the teachers there work vs. the 'median family'?
Median Family Income and teacher income are two different things.
And if they don't like the starting salery, they can go somewhere else, or do something else.
Teacher unions, and collective bargaining is like a cancer to our kids.
No it does not. 19 states list the average teacher pay as higher than the salary average prior to the recent drop. Their current average salary puts WI smack in the middle for average teacher's salaries.
http://teacherportal.com/teacher-salaries-by-state (btw, this is the site YOU USED in a previous post)
You really are a piece of human excrement, a TURD with ears. You right wing scum are attacking honest hard working American people. There is NO malfeasance here you little asshole. Do you FEEL teachers have the same hours as students pea brain? REALLY? Are you a fucking adult? When do they compose their lesson plans, grade papers and take care of other classroom business...in their SLEEP you fucking TURD brain.
Collective bargaining has been going on for over 50 years in Wisconsin. You TURDS want to claim union and teacher malfeasance...THERE IS NONE.
how does that compare to the average salary of Wisconsin taxpayers....
Only a REAL LOSER would consider $43,142.70 per year as anything other than LOW
Who cares? The average isn't representative. The median household income in WI in 2009 was $49,994. So instead of making $3,000 less then the median income they are now making $6,000 less then the median.
You know...I would think that what their doing in Wisconsin would be very fair if they also capped what lawyers can charge for their services at $10/hour. Teach the lawyers work ethic. Keep them off the taxpayers tit too. OH...and elected officials like Walker. Wouldn't it be great if we capped their salaries at the median income for the State and passed a lay making it unlawful for the Governor or the Legislature to give themselves pay raises with out a mandate from the people? Hey that would reign in costs and what's good for the goose is good for the gander, right?
