Oncelor supports domestic drilling ditzie. He supports eliminating as much of our dependence on foreign oil as we can. He promotes doing so by using ALL sources available to us.

To be fair, I think I had a lapse during the spill on offshore stuff (pretty temporary) - the constant feed of the leak underwater got to me.

But it didn't last more than a couple of weeks; aside from that, I've been for all domestic drilling for many years...

Yeah, that is understandable to an extent. Wanting to evaluate safety measures to make sure they are adequate is one thing. Continuing to shut down any and all domestic drilling is quite another. A lot of people hit the panic button as the oil was spilling. It was a natural reaction. But once the emotional overload wore off, most came back to their senses.

ALL you pinheads have ALWAYS been against domestic drilling for oil, as long as it was the credo of the Democrats....always. That includes Onceler and Jarhead and the rest of the lefties.
Just because you've changed your tune in the last week or two ain't gonna rewrite the facts.....
and
the uprising in Egypt and other countrys is far from over and who will rule those places is still in question....if the region turns to fanatic Muslim/Islamic Religious rule and Sharia law it will affect Obamas legacy....

He and I have had the discussion regarding foreign energy dependency many times over the past few years. He has supported the domestic drilling in most of those cases. The only time he wavered was as he just mentioned.... during the gulf oil spill he jumped ship and said no to more drilling in response to the catastrophe. While it was an over-reaction, it was understandable to a degree.

You and ditzie running around pretending his position is something other than what it has been is ridiculous. While most Dems on this board are as you suggest, Oncelor and Toppy are the exceptions to the rule.

I believe in responsible drilling, but I would also like to see more alternative energy development and I do believe things are going in the direction.

China is developing green energy and I think the USA will catch on because it will become profitable to do so.

I believe that christiefan is also in favor of drilling if done with regulations.

Though, most of us are not Dems, but I could be wrong and not kept count of who is what.

How many posters consider themselves Democrats.

I am undeclared as a voter. I favor the person, not the party.

It's one of those perfect compromise bills. Hey, we'll approve a huge increase in domestic drilling, if you approve huge tax incentives for R&D on alternatives.

Kind of like hey, we'll privatize social security, if you cut a third of the military budget.

The solutions are out there; it's not about pride anymore...
 
There's no way that Democrats would ever agree to privatization of Social Security. They need all those dependents to vote for them.

I'm for drilling... always have been... always will be... some democrats may have been opposed but most are okay with it now if we have regulations... i am not a democrat... never have been... some of my friends are... they tried to get me to join, but I said NO! I believe we should all be open-minded...sugar won't melt in my mouth... HONESTLY!!
