Well, I do think that it could happen here. I think if we ever got to a place where we were confronted with depleted water supplies or food shortages it could and most likely would happen. And then, bubba you better hope you aren't in a place where there is a gun ban. Me? I'd stay strapped and underground. LOL!

revolt over what issue?.....certainly not over whether we can have a democracy or not......perhaps, instead of like Egypt it will be like France, where people riot over whether they get to live free without working.....

Its possible, though Americans are more naive. Believing their elections actually bring change.

A guy will come in, and rob the country blind. The Americans get all angry and vote him out. The new guy comes in, and everything settles down. Then they figure out he is robbing the people blind? They start complaining. They vote him out. The new guy comes in and its meet the new boss same as the old boss. ALL Politicians are thieves.

Therefore it will happen in America when they realize their elections are rigged. OR the economy collapses, though the rich will be far from the scene by then.

The birthers have all ready been redirected.......

They say the best way to stop a movement is to get in front of it.

They sneak their spies into movements. Give them alot of cash, make it seem they are helping the movement, till they gain respect and next thing you know? Their puppet is leading the group.

Where did all that talk about 9/11 being an inside job go? Where was that talk of auditing the Federal Reserve/Banks go?

If these birthers were smart they would be rising TODAY. Just like in Egypt, the cost of education is on the rise and jobs are limited due to outsourcing. Basically the American dream is being outsourced.

Live free without working?

Anyone living off their investments are doing exactly that.

Then there's those, like investment counselors/brokers, who continually get paid regardless of what counsel they offer, be it right, wrong or anything in between.

No need to revolt for that. :)

Well absolutely it can. It's happened in my lifetime when I was a child in the 60's. Between the race riots, civil rights marches and war protests it was scary time.

It is very clear that America is due for a revolution. The question is what will they be steered to revolt against?

I'm surprised the students are not protesting in the streets. They too are having a hard time getting work(even with University diplomas), poverty is increasing in America(due to outsourcing). But hey! This kids are taught from birth that American is the best nation in the world, so go on with your frat parties, drink your alcohol and snort your cocaine(note sarcasm) and pretend like nothing is going on.

Why do you think there is a problem in Egypt in the first place? Anwar El Sadat started opening up Egypt to private and foreign investment. And the Egyptian elites started to make a killing, making the elites richer and the poor, poorer.

In other words. Free market ruined Egypt.
