Palin throws kerosene on the fire

Philippians 2:3 says, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves." We should be so humble that we actually consider others to be more important than ourselves.


Colossians 4:5-6 says, "Let your speech be . . . full of grace." We should stop complaining. Philippians 2:14 says, "Do everything without complaining or arguing.
 
James 3:1-8 says that the tongue is a very powerful weapon, and it can be an evil one. James 1:19 says, "My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. God, how great thou art.

I am not the one spamming the board frog that would be you- You always think that receiving a negative slam for your ignorant and self righteous drivel is a person having a melt-down. Perhaps your projections should be used as a more self reflective moment-

Palin is 100% correct on this particular issue. Though she once again could have phrased it differently. Blood libel is not the most appropriate of terminology. That said, she is correct. The media engaged in the very thing they pretend to be upset about. They immediately went after her with NO evidence to suggest there was a link between the lunatics actions and Palin.

The media should be ashamed for the behavior of those like Krugman who couldn't wait to attack Palin.

Palin is not the brightest bulb to be sure, but the media's obsession and hatred of her is not helping the dialogue one bit. Their vitriolic rhetoric against her and the tea party are an example of the exact thing they are complaining about.

She is a confrontational person. If anyone expected her to try and accept the trial and conviction of a nonexistent crime, you obviously haven't seen how she works.

She did something that hundreds of other politicians have done. The intent was the same as those hundreds of other politicians and political party workers.

But, before there was very a single iota of evidence, she was tried and convicted of being responsible for this murderer's actions.

I could not agree more. The actions of those who attacked the tea party and Palin was beyond pathetic. The fact that they continue to find ways to attack her, rather than apologize for their inappropriate behavior shows the value our media has today.

I can tell the minute I get to you, you try to make it personal by posting what you think you know about my personal life, I am sorry you have to be this way, you are one very unhappy lady. My hope is that you find healing for your bitterness.
 
For starters, I don't really blame Palin for being defensive; there has been reaction against her that you can only classify as "over the top."

But, her reaction does show why she should never get anywhere near the Presidency...

My point was that the media's hatred and vitriolic rhetoric towards Palin is pathetic. Especially when they attack her for supposed rhetoric that is 'violent' etc...

Let's say you are correct that Palin was unfairly attacked. And let's ignore for the moment Palin's use of "blood libel" because it's so fucking stupid I don't know where to begin. Instead, let's look at what she said about those attacking her:

Vigorous and spirited public debates during elections are among our most cherished traditions. And after the election, we shake hands and get back to work, and often both sides find common ground back in D.C. and elsewhere. If you don't like a person's vision for the country, you're free to debate that vision. If you don't like their ideas, you're free to propose better ideas. But, especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible.

She's basically saying that the criticism of her rhetoric on the grounds that it incites violence is bad because that criticism serves only to incite violence. Hos is she any better than her critics here? She's doing exactly the thing that she is criticizing others for.

Not that there ever was much of a chance but if there was even a dumb and dumber type chance even that is pretty much gone now.
