Michelle Obama: "For the first time in my adult life, I'm proud of my country."

Her "thoughts" are not necessarily those of her husband. But it does bring to mind, the time a few months ago when he started refusing to wear the little American Flag lapel pin.

And now the Democrats call reading the Constitution a PR stunt...

I wonder whats next!

Why dont the Republicans sing God Bless America every 10 min's while standing on there heads?

Dont they love America?

Are you kidding, how many generations away from being a slave is she? And look where she is now, how could any American not be proud of that!

She is the truest American success story I can think of.....

Or are you more proud of some privledged guy who was a drunk till he was 30 then making it to the White House by 60?

so you know for a fact she had certain insults....weird

given she has never stated any such thing....

Uh, he never said he knew she had certain insults... What kinda shit are you making up tonight?

i rather wish gwb was flushed down a drain

It never takes long for liberals' real opinion of America to come through. Apparently Barack's wife feels that for the last 20 years at least, America has NOT been a place to be proud of.

And the only difference now? Soon a leftist extremist might be running it. That, and ONLY that, makes it all better.

How typical.

I wonder if her husband feels any differently?

MILWAUKEE -- So what did Michelle Obama think of the United States before her husband decided he wanted to run the place?

“For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country,” she told a Milwaukee crowd today, “because it feels like hope is making a comeback.”

That really is a terrible thing to say. I am in disagreement frequently with many things that I see as wrong about the government and I have been seriously disillusioned but I could never say that I haven't always been proud of my country. I think she could have picked her words a lot better.
